POSTS STORIES REELS

We can’t believe it’s already been 5 years without our Bubba baby. When Bubba passed, I was 23, trying to get into vet school for the 2nd time. Tim and I were on a long camping trip in Utah when we got the news that he “wasn’t doing right”. Tim quickly packed the rental car and drove us 8 hrs to the hosptial. An hour before we got there, we got the call that he had a seizure and didn’t make it. We missed our goodbyes by one hour. There was so much pain and so many layers to the pain. Pain around the thought of him being alone without his best gf, Ziggy. Pain around not being able to kiss him while he was still there. And a lot of pain and guilt about not feeling like I protected him enough. It’s been a lot of time and lot of reflection and even a pet communicator to help me find comfort in this day. Now today, Ziggy is turning 11 this year, she has her best friend sprout by her side, her age is showing some days and some days she binkies real high ❤️ I just graduated vet school and I see everything his death showed me. It gave me empathy and perspective as I go forward with my career. Now I get to sit with families in the same grief I know so well and because of him, I know exactly how much that moment matters. Animals are part of our souls! And I’m so grateful for my Bubba! Later today we’ll be doing our annual tradition and planting a flower for him and eating lots of cake ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 we love ya big baby boy!! by @thebunnycorner_

Happy Holidays!!! 😊 by @thebunnycorner_

Adopting Ziggy was the best thing I’ve ever done ☺️ changed the trajectory of my whole life and now we’re here, 9.5 years later, in vet school, adopting & fostering, advocating for animal rights every day. I’m in love with this little family❤️ and I love being a crazy bunny lady 😎
