MINNEAPOLIS! This Sunday, we are hosting “How to Pitch Anything & Win,” a free creative direction and pitch deck workshop with Creative Directors Bobby Rogers and Anthony Konigbagbe. A great idea can change your life. But first, you have to learn how to sell it. Join us for an interactive workshop designed to help artists, designers, photographers, and entrepreneurs turn ambitious ideas into real opportunities. We’ll be sharing insights on storytelling, building compelling pitch decks, communicating your vision, and getting people to believe in and invest in your ideas. Because having a great idea is one thing. Knowing how to get it out of your head and into the world is another. 📅 Sunday, October 18 ⏰ 12–3 PM 📍 @mcadedu, Auditorium 150 2501 Stevens Avenue, Minneapolis We’re excited to bring this knowledge back to the creative community that helped shape us. “History has taught us that this isn’t a one-time thing. Prepared people protect people.” — @bobbyrogers_ This summer’s ICE escalation invited us to return to our conversation with @bobbyrogers_ from Issue 03, where we talked about the role creativity and art play during times of crisis. We met with Bobby during the height of Operation Metro Surge, when his team at @thebureau.co, alongside thousands of local artists, created works of protest art to educate, raise resources, and mobilize the community. Along with artistry, Bobby talked about the relay race of activism: in any moment of crisis, each of us holds a different position. Some are cheering. Some are clearing obstacles. Some are pulling people over barriers. The work is collective, and it never fully stops between uprisings. It just changes shape. “There’s a higher connective consciousness we lean into...this moment reminded me how generous and gracious the community is.” Prepared people protect people. Read the full conversation at our link in bio. 🖤 by @thebureau.co
People think ICE is leaving Minnesota. That’s not true. When things escalate again, knowledge is protection and readiness is community power. 🗓️ TODAY • 7PM 🩺 Medic 101 Training 📍 Northern Coffeeworks (Minneapolis) Come learn the skills that matter now and later. Save this. Share this. Bring someone with you. 🔥 by @thebureau.co
In moments like this, information is protection. Community is safety. And preparation is how we take care of each other. We’re hosting two critical community trainings designed to help people move smarter and stay protected: Cybersecurity Training, 2/15 at 6PM — how to protect your devices, your data, and your digital footprint before, during, and after actions. Medic Training, 2/16 at 7PM — basic protest first aid, harm reduction, and how to support each other when things escalate. 📍 Northern Coffeeworks Open to all. This is about knowing what to do AND knowing what not to do & making sure no one has to navigate these moments alone. Save this. Share it with your people. Let’s keep each other safe. by @thebureau.co
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. KNOW YOUR POWER. In moments like this, information is protection. Community is safety. And preparation is how we take care of each other. We’re hosting a Know Your Rights training with attorneys Eric Bain (@bainlaw) & Tyler Bliss—created for protesters, legal observers, and anyone who wants to understand how to move smart and stay protected. 📍 Northern Coffeeworks 🗓 Wednesday, 2/4 at 7 PM Open to all. This is about knowing what to do AND knowing what not to do & making sure no one has to navigate these moments alone. Save this. Share it with your people. ABOLISH ICE. by @thebureau.co
Dr. King warned us: Character is revealed in moments of challenge. This is one of those moments. Speaking up doesn’t exist and only on social media. It looks like showing up for your neighbors in tangible ways in public and in the background. It looks like learning your rights and sharing them. Calling representatives. Supporting local orgs. Checking on people who feel targeted or unsafe. Having the hard conversations. And most importantly using your skills, whatever they may be, in service of something bigger than yourself. by @thebureau.co
Nothing shifts on its own. Change comes from collective pressure, sustained and local. Stay engaged. Stay connected. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼 by @thebureau.co
This is not policy. This is terror. Raids. Abductions. Family separation. Fear as governance. Don’t normalize it. Don’t scroll past it. Don’t let silence do the work for them. Share this. Talk to your people. Show up when and where you can. Support immigrant-led organizations. Protect your neighbors. Demand accountability from the institutions that profit from this violence. ICE melts under pressure ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼 by @thebureau.co
