Year 32 👑 Continuing into my womanhood believing in myself more than ever.

📍I took these pictures on my own at this gorgeous boutique hotel named VERDE by @dreamers.welcome in San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Now if someone else was taking my pictures, I would have gotten NOTHING like this 😅. I’m sure they would have all been dumb and awkward. But that’s why I’m telling y’all… JUST GRAB THE TRIPOD! The confidence, and comfort I have when I’m taking pictures on my own is unmatched 💕.

These pictures are a bitttt spicy 🌶️, so I’m a little nervous to post them… but shittt I’m grown! 🤭.

Because as soon as someone else whips a camera out, I’m like this 😐😬😩. I get awkward and shy. That’s why I’m learning to JUST GRAB THE DAMN TRIPOD, so I can get better at taking my own pictures whether I’m traveling or just creating 💞. And so I can help you grow your confidence.

📍🇵🇷 Snapping self portraits at VERDE by @dreamers.welcome in San Juan, PR 😍🩵. This boutique hotel truly blew my mind. I stayed at 4 different places on this trip, and this was by far my favorite! The stone, lighting, and architecture of the bathroom spaces were incredible. Just wait until you see the shower/soaking tub 🙂‍↔️.

📍NOA by @dreamers.welcome - The architecture and color combo was ART🔥🔥 Once I got here, I really tapped in to the self portrait vibes I needed. A beautiful stay in San Juan, PR 🇵🇷

I wish I had some BTS of this shoot, but unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to capture any this time. But going forward, I’ll be sure to share some of the process with you ☺️.

📍 @elpuntovegano - First time tying Mofongo 🌹 vegan style with Portobello Mushroom. The experience and food was 10/10, absolutely beautiful!

Mofongo is a Puerto Rican dish traditionally made with mashed fried green plantains, fresh garlic, olive oil, and chicharron (pork cracklings). But luckily I found this vegan gem of a restaurant to stop at, so I was able to experience the cuisine of the culture 😍.

I also had the Cheesy Garlic Bread, which had me needing to control myself 😅. I had to chill because it was just the appetizer! The house salad… was ALSO delicious. It had a tasty dressing and I’m assuming like a seasoned tofu crumble 😍.

If you plan to visit Cataño, or San Juan, @elpuntovegano needs to be on your list, whether you’re vegan or not 🔥.

In the last picture I started getting embarrassed because the camera shutter noise! It was set to take 10 pictures 😭. I’m still getting used to just grabbing the tripod myself! I’m also getting used to taking pictures and recording myself in public. I’m so awkward, and so used to my own comfort zone. BUT it’s time to get out of that because I’m going to live my life, and take up space now 🥹💞. If you feel similar, be sure to follow @thec_roll ✨.

* LIBRA ♎️🌹 - Did some experimenting with Adobe Light Room for the editing of these self portraits. I’m liking the vibe, what do you guys think? 🥹

📍 NOA by @dreamers.welcome in San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. This bathroom was my absolute favorite part of this stay, just look at how gorgeous, and unique. These are the types of properties/air bnb’s I value, because they already make a statement, or set a mood. As a creative, this is IT 😍.

‼️ I’ve thought about creating a new page for my self portraits/ photography and travel, but I’m tired of new pages lol. Please feel free to unfollow if you are not interested ❤️.
