We’re excited to announce that we’ve received funding through the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Community Grants Program to help bring more live music and events to The Cage! 🖤 This support will help us continue creating opportunities for local and emerging artists, bringing people together through live music, and strengthening our local music community. A huge thank you to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council for supporting local arts and culture, and to Self Seen, our auspice organisation for this grant, for helping make this possible. Founded in 2020, Self Seen was built on a simple but powerful mission: to create a space where men can heal, grow and connect. Through breaking down the stigma surrounding men’s mental health, Self Seen is working towards a community where every man feels seen, heard and supported. We’re incredibly grateful for the work they do and for their support of this initiative. And what better way to kick things off than with our Halloween show! 👻 We can’t wait to get things rolling and bring more great live music to our community. Thank you to everyone who continues to support The Cage and the local music scene. There’s more to come! 🖤 #PortMacquarieHastingsCouncil #CommunityGrants #LiveMusic #LocalMusic #PortMacquarie by @thecage.pmq

FRI 30TH OCT 6:30PM!! Here’s a look at the bands hitting the stage on Friday, October 30th. You’re gonna want to be there. 🖤 Volatile Ways are a hard mosh death core made by hardcore kids. With unmatched energy that radiates through their playful disposition at live shows, Volatile Ways are one of Australia’s most slay exports. The Nameless are an Australian deathcore metal band based in Woolgoolga, NSW originally formed by Vai Gravino, Ryan Humphreys and Kade Nicol in 2017. The band has released three full length albums and one EP independently since their inception. Whisperhead delivers a potent, skull-crushing and thoroughly engaging brand of modern heavy. Drawing from influences from across metalcore and nu-metal, Whisperhead hones these varied elements masterfully for a sound that marries dynamic riffs, pummelling percussion and a gripping, visceral vocal. Even in the heavier moments, the tracks retain a mesmerizing accessibility. Torment are a five-piece hardcore/slam metal band from Port Macquarie, delivering a crushing blend of punishing riffs, groove-driven breakdowns and raw aggression. Despite being a newly formed act, their intense live performances and uncompromising sound have quickly established them as an exciting emerging force within the regional heavy music scene. Get your tickets now! While they’re still $10 Link in Bio xx #LiveMusic #LocalMusic #MNCMusicScene #HardcoreMusic #MetalShow by @thecage.pmq
