POSTS STORIES REELS
OUT NOW! The journey to 'Skyline', our next album, continues... Similar to our previous single, 'Get On The Right Track' started as a jam after a rehearsal in Cheltenham. Beginning as a Hendrix style riff over C7 and F7 chords, it ended as a funky Motown influenced track with a driving bassline and wailing brass section. Try to get that chorus out of your head, we'll bet you can't! Direction, cinematography, editing, and colour-grade: @kitbrown_film Sound and co-direction: @isaacheeksmusic Co-direction: @willmawer Music by The Callbirds Huge thanks to Breamore Railway Station for allowing us to film at their beautiful hault! Additional thanks to @stanley414sli for getting us from A to B in style! by @thecallbirds
GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK NOW! Single two has arrived at the platform... Get on it quickly and make sure you take all your belongings with you! This song has been a staple of our live set for years now. From @troubadourlondon to @wychwoodfestival to @frogandfiddle and many, many more, Get On The Right Track has been a firm favourite for us and our audiences alike. Written during a marathon writing and recording period in winter 2024, the song started as a jam and evolved into a joyful mashup of classic rock, funk and pop genres that sound so familiar, yet totally new. We're so proud of this track, its been a labour of love. There's plenty more to come! As always, if while listening to this song you see something that doesn't look right, contact British Transport Police on 61016. See it, say it, listen to the track, sorted. Recorded at @sohosonic, @mera_studios_ and a small back bedroom in London's east end Produced by Zorin and The Callbirds Mixed and engineered by D. Kay and @isaacheeksmusic Brass and string arrangements by @iylaflanagan Performed and written by The Callbirds: Isaac Heeks: Lead Vocals, Bass, Rhythm Guitar, Percussion, Keys, Background Vocals Will Mawer: Lead Guitar, Background Vocals With additional drums by Jonny Shine ( @jonny_shine1316 ) Artwork by @isaacheeksmusic by @thecallbirds

Arriving shortly on platform one... A music video! We couldn't be more exited to announce that we've once again teamed up with our old pal @kitbrown_film to create the official music video for Get On The Right Track! Have a sneak peek on us... 👀 It's been so much fun to put together, and we much extend a huge thanks to @stanley414sli for appearing in the video and not breaking down at all for the duration of the shoot! Also to #breamorestation for allowing us to film on their lovely heritage railway platform. Come back Wednesday 28th October to see the video in all its glory! #thecallbirds #getontherighttrack #skyline #indiemusic #classicrock by @thecallbirds
Get On The Solo Track… Introducing Will’s very first guitar solo off our upcoming album, Skyline! “For this one I wanted to start out with a lot of space, before diving into some of the faster @johnmayer / @stevierayvaughan / @jimihendrix style licks. There’s a fine balance of fury and finesse to this one that took a few takes to get right. Fortunately, blues-rock has always been my favourite style to play, so constructing this one and making classic meets contemporary guitar playing choices was a lot of fun for me!” - Will Oh, also you may notice that this video is in a rather unusual location. Don’t worry about that now, more will be revealed soon… But do listen to Get On The Right Track, available everywhere! 🎥@kitbrown_film 👕@sams_danmark 🎸@fender #thecallbirds #getontherighttrack #skyline #classicrock #newmusic #guitarsolo #bluesrock #guitarplayer by @thecallbirds

Review our single so we don’t have to! We are not radio presenters, famous vloggers or bloggers, and we don’t have a regular column in NME. So we’ve reviewed our brand new single, 'Get On The Right Track' ourselves (actually it was part of our submission to @bbcintroducing). But wouldn’t it be nice if our single was heard and reviewed by people other than ourselves who definitely know what they’re talking about and had the professional backing to share their opinions on a larger scale? We personally think our review of the single is accurate, but we’d be happy to hear otherwise. If you love it - review it on your respective media channel, if you hate it - review it on your respective media channel. Open invitation to leave a scathing review or a pleasant one by anyone who feels like it! We'd love to hear your thoughts!
