In Loving Memory of Stephen Joseph Phelan
November 12, 1960 – October 12, 2026
My beloved brother, Stephen Joseph Phelan, has gone to Heaven far too soon. The pain of losing my brother is beyond words. Stephen had a kind and generous heart. If someone was in need, he would give them the shirt off his back. That was who he was. One of the sweetest memories of Stephen is his bond with Thor, our first precious family dog, a Saint Bernard who became his best friend and faithful companion. Stephen took Thor everywhere he went, bringing him along on all kinds of adventures. Remembering the two of them together brings a smile through my tears. Music held a special place in Stephen’s life. Supertramp and James Taylor were his favorites, and their songs will forever remind us of him. Stephen was a devoted Vancouver Canucks fan who never missed a game. Hockey nights were something he could always look forward to, and watching a game will never feel quite the same without him.
Above everything, Stephen absolutely adored his boys. Being their dad meant sharing life’s adventures, helping them find their way, and giving them the comfort of knowing they were deeply loved. He brought so much joy into their lives, especially when they were camping and exploring the wilderness together. Those moments gave them something precious: time with their dad and memories that will always belong to them. Stephen was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. His devotion to his mother was beyond measure—a deep, tender bond that words could never fully capture. Mom held a place in his heart that no one else could fill. She meant the world to him, and through the heartbreak of losing Stephen, we find comfort in knowing he and Mom will be together again in Heaven. Stephen’s love for God ran deep, and his faith was a powerful and cherished part of his life. He carried that faith in a heart filled with compassion and generosity. Rest peacefully, my beloved brother. Thank you for your kindness, for the joy you brought us, and for the memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!
I am truly the luckiest Mom in the whole wide world!!! 🎉 Thank you @sophiaeagan and @connor.elvis for the gorgeous flowers and the most heartfelt card that completely melted my heart and brought me to tears. There is no greater gift in life than being your Mom. Watching you both grow into such beautiful souls has been the greatest joy and privilege of my life. 🙏
You are my sunshine, my laughter, my strength, my heart, and my everything. No matter how much time passes, you will always be my babies, my first loves, and the biggest blessings God ever gave me.

TODAY IS MY 14TH CANCERVERSARY 🎉

This is a photo of my favorite nurse, Debbi, giving me a big hug on my last chemotherapy treatment day. During chemo, we talked, we laughed, and we became hospital friends. After treatment ended, I would still visit her after my doctor appointments—and it was always such a happy moment.
Why? Because I made it. I’m one of the lucky ones, and I am so incredibly grateful.

Every year Christmas Eve Mass fills my heart and soul 🙌 Our priest is incredible and so inspiring! He takes the homily and makes it relevant and fulfilling, leaving you wanting to be a better person. On this beautiful monumental moment when Jesus our Savior was born, we became the blessed ones 😇 Tis’ the season to do an act of kindness and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. ☦️ Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas ⛪️.
