A new chapter for The Candid Core. Sydney → Melbourne. After an incredible year of building, creating and capturing so many of your biggest moments, The Candid Core is officially relocating to Melbourne. Melbourne bookings are now open for wedding content creation, maternity, family + newborn portraits. Sydney, this isn’t goodbye. ’ll still be travelling back for selected weddings + bookings. And as always, destination bookings remain open worldwide. New city. Same Candid Core. Hi, I’m Kaylie, and I’m the face behind The Candid Core. Before this, I was a bride. I planned my entire wedding myself, every timeline, every detail, every little choice. Even with all the planning, I know how overwhelming the day can feel, even when it’s beautiful. I even broke my foot three weeks before walking down the aisle, so if you think I don’t know ball, I know ball. 😂 I didn’t have someone dedicated to capturing me in my most raw, beautiful moments. Not someone whose only job was to notice and preserve them. I’ve always loved documenting love, making vlogs and TikToks of the moments I share with my husband, friends, and family. After my own wedding, I captured my bridesmaid’s wedding in Bali. A little champagne, a lot of fun, and some incredible moments later, The Candid Core was born. I love the moments that aren’t posed or performed, the ones you think no one is watching. That’s when the love really shines through. When I work with brides, I’m more than just a content creator. I’m a second pair of hands, a calm presence, and a helper wherever needed. I’ve set up receptions when venues weren’t on top of things, held down welcome signs on windy days, run last-minute errands, helped brides get into their dresses (thanks to my years managing a high-end dress boutique), and calmed nerves with a pep talk or two. I’m here to make the day feel effortless, so you can focus on what matters most. I’m ready to capture your wedding, the in-between, the unposed, the core memories that make your day truly yours. One year of The Candid Core 🤍 One year ago, this was just an idea in my head. I had no idea where it would take me, who I’d meet, or how much this little business would grow. From my very first international destination wedding, to weddings with 400+ guests, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, maternity sessions, family portraits and brand work. Somehow, in one year, The Candid Core has taken me to Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville, Melbourne, Samoa and Bali. ✈️ What started as wedding content has grown into The Candid Core + The Candid Core Portraits, and I’m so proud of what it’s become. But more than the numbers, the places or the bookings, I’m most grateful for the people who have trusted me to capture moments that mean something to them. To every couple, family, brand, business and person who has booked me, recommended me, shared my work or simply supported this little dream, thank you. You’ve allowed me to turn something I love into something real, and I’ll never take that for granted. Happy 1st birthday, The Candid Core. 🥂 Year one was pretty special. Little me would be so proud. Here’s to everything still to come. Xo #firstyearofbusiness #smallbusinessowner #weddingcontentcreator #photographer #love taken in Australia by @thecandidcore
