We’ve been quiet…but not still.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been listening, dreaming, talking with community, and imagining what a true Center 2.0 could become.

Not just a teahouse.
Not just a yoga studio.
Not just an event space.

But a bolder and more expansive cultural home for San Francisco, one that still holds the intimacy, warmth, and human connection that made The Center what it was.

This next chapter is not only about rebuilding a space.
It is about creating a place that can shape the way our city gathers, grows, and heals together.

Work like this takes time.
It asks for patience, depth, care, and humility.

We are taking that time so what we create can last for decades and remain truly sustainable and accessible for our community.

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for believing in community.
Thank you for trusting the quieter parts of the process.

One week ago we played the closing party for @thecentersf which was so bittersweet and emotional - and yet, we danced - in celebration of all that has been and all that is yet to come!

Success, redefined.
Not by numbers, but by open hearts.
By the way people showed up — fully.
In presence, in embrace, in quiet attention.
In joy, in movement, in shared breath.

This past week reminded us what true success feels like:
to be held, seen, and supported by a community that knows how to be with each other.

These photos by @joelambephoto from our last Solstice Festival in this iteration are a love letter to that feeling.
To all of you who came, contributed, stayed, danced, taught, cried, opened, and softened — thank you. You made this festival more than a closing event. You made it an anchoring of all that we get to be when we’re together.

This Saturday, we’re gathering for one last celebration — a Summer Solstice Festival filled with live music, cacao, and yoga. A moment to honor everything we’ve created here, and to open space for what’s next.

Let’s close this chapter the way we opened so many:
with presence, joy, and community.

Yesterday’s final class @thecentersf was a heart-opening moment.

I’m filled with deep gratitude for the opportunity to have taught in such a beautiful space—one that held so much transformation, connection, and growth. Thank you to the students who showed up again and again, to the fellow teachers who inspired me, to the managers, the volunteers, and everyone who made it possible for this sacred container to exist.

As this chapter closes, I want you to know that I’m still here—teaching, practicing, and offering healing.

The Center SF will close its doors on June 21st.
It has been the deepest honor to move, breathe, and teach beside each of you this past year.
I first came to The Center as a volunteer—new to San Francisco, knowing barely a soul. I took a class taught by Kirin and experienced magic. Since then, I’ve danced on those floors, shared tea with strangers, pulled tarot cards with friends, shed tears, and broken a sweat. Slowly, I found my place—not just as a student, but as a teacher.
To those who’ve shown up—once or every week—unfurled your mat, and entrusted me with your sacred practice: thank you. You are the reason I teach.
The closing of The Center is the end of a chapter I wasn’t ready to finish. But when is change ever on schedule? Isn’t it the very heart of our practice—to love what is, even as it transforms? To soften our grip on what we hold dear? What remains is the internal landscape—the place we return to again and again. Coming home to practice means coming home to ourselves.
The practice doesn’t end when a studio closes.
It expands.
I invite you to keep growing, rooting, reaching. To find new places of refuge—and to build them, when they don’t yet exist. Keep seeking spaces that center connection and reciprocity. Keep choosing presence.
I will continue teaching throughout San Francisco, and I have little doubt that this community—so full of magic—will find new ways to gather, to fly, and to land again together when the time is right.

The Center has been a space of transformation—for so many of us, in ways both quiet and profound. And it’s time now to complete the journey.

We’ll gather on June 21 for a final celebration. A moment to honor all that’s been shared, held, and created together. You are warmly invited.

From June 23–28, we’ll begin our move-out and host a Closing Sale. If you’d like to stop by, help out, or bring a piece of the space home with you, you’re welcome.

We’ll continue sharing reflections and updates here in the coming weeks.

This ending is tender, but it’s also full of meaning. Thank you—for your presence, your practice, your part in this chapter. It’s been the honor of my life to hold it with you.
