Ok so backstory. About a month ago I was having a really slow day at work (spring in the HVAC business) and wished I could be skating instead of waiting for a call so I figured why not make a tiny version of my skateboard. What else was I going to do! 🛹 👍 Also, RIP smiling friends.

Had an amazing time creating these two with @goldengatebridge6 at @theglassonionstudio.
.
Learned quite a bit about the process and think stained glass may be a new addiction, who knows? 🤷

Chinese elm (Ulmus parvifolia) appreciation post!

A popular species among landscapers and bonsai enthusiasts alike due to their rapid growth and relative resistance to disease and pests.

I collected this one about 6 years ago as a seedling.

Bonsai, and plants in general, can be notoriously difficult to photograph, so please appreciate my hastily constructed backdrop of reused deck boards.

Bonus shot at the end of an Eastern tent caterpillar hanging out on the branches as they often do in the spring. 🐛 by @thechadforde
