Hi, I’m Kavitha Ganesh (Bonus points if you call me Chonu ✨)

An accountant by profession, a reader by passion, and a certified over-thinker whenever I finish a good book.

Books have always been my comfort space.

But funnily enough, I didn’t start reading actual novels until my second year of college, thanks to a gentle (and life-changing) push from one of my closest friends.

And honestly? It’s been a beautiful spiral ever since.

From then to now, I’ve devoured 200+ books.

While romance will always be my soft spot, I’ve slowly wandered into mythology, self-help, business, fantasy and more, and I’m loving every bit of the exploration.

📚 My 2026 goal? Read 100 books.
Ambitious? Possibly.
Will I still attempt it like the delusional book girl I am? Absolutely yes.

I gifted this book to a friend of mine in July. A few months later I picked one for myself!

A couple days ago I went on a workcation to @hostelvilpatti and I was mind blown when I saw the amazing collection of books they had.

Every now and then I would pick up a book and skim through it while sipping on their ever famous #hotchocolate☕️.

And that’s when I found this book peeking at me from the corners and my joy knew no bounds as this one has been on my TBR for a very long time.

I picked the book up, went into my bed, muffled up the blankets and started turning the page one after the another.

Mind you, this is a simple tale about a girl who fell in love with reading, after all, a story relatable to every one in this page. But I was envious because she actually lived in a bookstore, surrounded by the huge collection of books for the majority of the plot. It actually made me pause and think of how heart warming it would be to live amount books, knowing you can pick one any time of the day and read your way through it.

Thanks to this book, now I have a reading corner in my home, enough to make the book lover in me smile every single time I pass through it.

I have always been an e-reader.

But 2026 was the first year when I started my quest of collecting physical books thanks to my new bookshelf.

Ever since that I’ve been buying books left and right 😂 enough to forget all the real problems in my life.

This time last year, I was deep in research — trying to figure out which country I’d finally travel to in 2027.
I remember how badly I wanted my first international trip to happen.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be doing it a whole year early, in 2026, in Malaysia.

📚 SEPTEMBER TBR — because apparently I have learned NOTHING.

September TBR is here, and yes, I’m once again making a completely unrealistic list of books as if **free time is a real thing.** 😭

My September plan:

📖 Read these
✨ Become a better person
🧠 Fix my life
💅 Romanticise my existence
🤡 Finish 3 books and call it a productive month
