To New York City,

This isn't goodbye, it's see you soon. In less than 2 weeks, we will have most of our belongings in storage while we figure out our next moves back home in the Midwest. Simply put, it has been a bit of a struggle looking for our next apartment/studio in Brooklyn, so until that time comes, we will be spending time back home while working remotely between the Midwest (and New York!)

Before we go, I want to express my extreme gratitude for what this city has given me so far. Many of you know what a DREAM it has been for me to live here. My grandfather moved here from India and had my mom here - it was ALWAYS my goal to also move here at some point, and I still can't believe I did.

I wasn't alone in that decision, I have James to thank for taking such a giant leap with me. We sold our house and moved here without jobs before starting our studio together 6 years ago. We settled in right before the pandemic and were dead set on staying put and riding the waves of uncertainty. It certainly paid off for us in a really major way, @halves_studio is still going strong today, and we are so proud of the life we have made here.

Our past dog, Dottie, really enjoyed life here. We got married here, and we eventually welcomed our new pup into our lives here. I am so incredibly grateful for all of the amazing friends we have made here, all of the stunning events, comedy shows, and concerts we have had the pleasure of going to. I'm especially thankful for all of the magical New York moments I have experienced, especially the ones that make you pinch yourself.

Every conversation I've had with a driver, bartender, or stranger anywhere has had a massive impact on me. I wish I could put my arms around the people of New York. There's really nowhere else like it, and it will always hold a special place in my soul.

Looking back on my camera roll from the past 6 years makes me incredibly emotional, and I am simply in awe of everything I have gotten to experience here so far. I don't know what exactly the future holds, but this isn't goodbye, it's see you soon. taken in New York, New York by @thecierrataylor

This is 36 and I've never been more sure of myself ✨ 35 was a huge year of personal growth and heartache for me and I am entering this new era as a more confident force. I have direction and I know where I'm going. It's really only up from here ♥️

I'm not trying to rush Fall (my fave season) by any means, but these holiday Lip Butter Balm shades from @summerfridays have my full attention ✨♥️

Sugar Plum is the most beautiful sheer plum for the season and Mocha Bonbon is a pretty sheer neutral beige with a hint of golden shimmer.

Chances are, one of these will be in my purse at all times. Love this formula forever!
