Every year, New York City celebrates with the Village Halloween Parade. But even if you don’t make it to the parade, a walk through the city delivers plenty of Halloween magic🎃

Witches, monsters, movie characters, superheroes - everywhere you turn, there’s another costume worth stopping for. Strangers pose for photos, exchange compliments, and turn the sidewalks into one big party.

Halloween in New York is something you have to experience at least once. Save this for your fall trip to NYC 🗽👻 by @thecity.seduction

NYC takes Halloween very seriously🎃

These decorations are some of my personal favorites, but trust me, the entire Upper East Side is worth exploring during Halloween season.

People put so much time, effort and creativity into decorating their homes. It’s honestly one of my favorite times of the year in NYC! 🧡

Marcel is located inside Sotheby’s in the iconic Breuer Building and is named after its architect, Marcel Breuer. One of the most interesting details? The art around you isn’t just decoration, Sotheby’s rotates works and design pieces throughout the space.

The interiors were created with Roman and Williams, so even if you come for dinner, the space itself is part of the experience.

📍 Marcel, 945 Madison Ave at 75th St, Upper East Side
💵 Budget: around $120–150 per person for dinner with a starter, main course and a cocktail or dessert

Save this one for your next date, girls night out or just good time.

One of the must-see exhibitions in New York right now Costume Art at The Met

The exhibition behind the 2026 Met Gala explores the relationship between fashion, art, and the human body, pairing iconic garments from The Costume Institute with paintings, sculptures and objects from The Met’s collection.

📍 The MET
📅 On view through January 10, 2027
🎟 Included with museum admission

25 years later, and the silence still feels heavy.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 innocent lives were taken.
2,977 people who had plans for that evening. People who kissed someone goodbye that morning without knowing it would be the last time. Sons and daughters. Mothers and fathers. Husbands, wives, friends, coworkers.

And behind every name is a family that had to learn how to live with an empty chair, an unanswered phone call, a voice they would never hear again.

New York changed forever that day.

But in the middle of unimaginable horror, there was also unimaginable courage. Firefighters climbed the stairs while everyone else was trying to get out. Police officers, paramedics, rescue workers, volunteers and ordinary New Yorkers ran toward people who needed help… many knowing they might never come back.
Today, we remember the 2,977 lives that were stolen.
We remember the families whose lives were divided forever into before and after.
We remember those who ran toward danger.
Those who stayed.
Those who helped.
Those who never made it home.

25 years later, the skyline looks different.
The city kept moving.
Life continued.

But some wounds become part of a city forever.🕊️
