In this wild and lyrical piece of puppetry-infused physical theater, a fastidious clown takes on the forces of chaos. In a collision of movement, clown, and found-object puppetry, “Out With It” unpacks the rough and tender realities of holding things in and letting things go. What: A late night puppet cabaret to scare the chill away ❄️❄️❄️ When: Friday, January 23 at 10:30pm @constellationchicago Who: @maisie_oh (Philadelphia, PA) presents “The Artist,” an original folktale told through illuminated hand-cut paper, shadow puppetry, and song. Photo Credit: @steven_pisano @zlata_god (New York City, NY) brings “Olga of Kyiv,” based on real Ukrainian history, a fun and dark puppet show about a medieval queen who rules her kingdom from a puppet dress-stage. @karenahoyer (Chicago, IL) is performing “Kloc and the Ballerina” — A battered package is discovered by a clown named Kloc and a tiny ballerina dances into the spotlight. @okvu.puppets (Minneapolis, MN) showcases glove and tabletop puppetry in “Time Flies” — is it capitalism, ADHD, a combination of the two or a secret third thing? @rubicon_studios (Boise, ID & Chicago, IL) are joined by a lovely old couple “Marv and Kathleen” who are very proud of their award-winning tomatoes.
