🕯️I have a story for you.

There is a global network of tunnels under the world, 3,000 feet beneath us. It’s a real fact.

(You can google “global underground tunnels” and the “International Association of Tunnels and Underground Space” to see snippets of publicly available info.)

⏳Some of these tunnels were created THOUSANDS of years ago. And here’s the question: who created them so deep into the earth? And how?

This mystery is bigger than me and everything I know. It’s a lifelong journey that I only started 2.5 years ago.

✨And now I have a story to tell.

It’s not made up. I mean, yes, it’s fiction, - but no. You will read it, and you will understand.

It’s like a shared secret that we’re not going to say out loud.

👁️👁️We will only meet with our eyes and close them in silent understanding.

It’s our story, mine and yours. 🫶🏻

There are my own and real inventions, suspense, fantasy elements, physical experiments, mystery and thriller, fashion, philosophy of life, real historical wonders, and a pinch of spice.

🧑🏻‍🦼There are diverse characters, multiple POVs, Elusive Cafe, ancient board game, scientifically created oracle cards...

...and a secret why the elite are preparing to go underground right now. A fictional secret, of course😉

Hearton City is located 3,000 feet bеlоw Long Island, Nеw Yоrk.

📝MY WRITING UPDATE 📝

The Closed Tunnel @theclosedtunnel is officially the biggest project of my life.

It was born in my head and on paper three years ago. At that moment, I considered my debut novel ready.

😆But I was wrong.

So I dove into never-ending research, rewriting, learning, rethinking, reimagining, re-editing, shouting, and laughing.

🤦🏻‍♂️I planned to finish it by October 2023, then by April 2024, and then by October 2024…

It became important for me to finally complete it and not look like a writing weirdo in my son’s eyes 😆

“𝘗𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘺...”

🫶🏻But my wife Elena taught me to approach everything from a position of love. That said, I should love the final result and be proud of every line.

And now I truly do. I’ve read my manuscript dozens of times, and each time I feel the raw emotions of a first-time reader. So does my wife. I think it’s a good sign.

🎓Along with my business, family, bookstagram, and reading, I’m finishing my Creative Writing Specialization at Wesleyan University this month.

And in November, I’m starting my query journey.

⏳I know this publishing path will take time, and I’m fine with that.

I hope my story—and my potential book series—will be heard and seen by many.

🫶🏻 I write for you, my friends. I love you, so I want to bring you only the best quality possible. This traditional route should help me achieve it.

🤿The world of my upcoming book 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘛𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭 is so detailed and realistic—pure deep immersion…

And today, I have two revelations for you.

1️⃣1️⃣1️⃣

🔱Meet the coat of arms 🔱 of the underground Hearton City!

I had a night dream about this emblem.

🌪️In the first version, it was surrealistic, in the style of Salvador Dalí, and then its real features manifested. So here it is, as it appears on the City Administration building, 3,000 feet beneath Long Island, New York.

✨✨✨

If you look closer, you’ll see:

🛴People on e-scooters (which vary in speed and power),

🪧PhysLab / BioLab signs (there’s also a MedLab, IT department, and more),

🐈A cat sleeping under a tree (it lives in the underground newspaper office),

🌳The tree itself (yes, they’ve learned how to grow them underground!),

☀️An artificial sun and moon (hello, digital sky!),

🚰A bunch of pipes (it’s a capsule city that doesn’t even draw air from the Surface),

🏠Houses of different architecture (the parts of the city are divided by design style),

🐻‍❄️And the centerpiece, a white sable with special genes, a kind symbol of Hearton City.

😲…My wife Elena and I went to a fishing shop, and she exclaimed, “Look! That’s 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘔𝘢𝘯 costume from your book!”

He’s the mysterious Superintendent of Hearton City. One of the most enigmatic characters in the story. He maintains order and, like ‘shadow glue,’ discreetly connects the different parts of that world.

😎He’s my alter ego.

I wore this costume and felt a strong bond with this character. He’s secondary, but so important... Perhaps more important than it seems at first glance.

😲When I first visited Hearton City in 2022, I was struck by the scale of the place and how much light there was.

I always thought that underground, especially at a depth of 3,000 feet, there could only be mines and narrow passages for spelunkers. I have claustrophobia, so that’s definitely not for me.

🚗But when we drove onto the observation deck in an electric car, the city unfolded beneath me, drowning in lights and happiness, like a Christmas village.

Looking into people’s faces, I immediately sensed a quiet, genuine happiness. It wasn’t the superficial kind that makes your cheeks curl, but the kind we all desperately seek on the surface.

🧑🏻‍🦱I met a guy, Miguel, and he explained something to me.

“How many people are truly happy under the sun?” he asked. “The answer is obvious. So maybe the source of happiness isn’t it at all?”

✨✨✨

🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏼About 1,000 people live in Hearton right now, but the city is designed for at least 5,000.

The city boasts the best of the best - brilliant scientists from various fields, versatile mechanics, known as ‘Basics,’ deep tunnel explorers, called ‘Cornigers,’ and medical innovators who elevate health to an art form.

✨✨✨

🚶🏻‍♂️Stepping out of the car, I strolled through the streets of Hearton. If I had suddenly awoken there after a wild party and couldn’t recall where I was, I’d never have guessed that I was underground.

The artificial sky above looked remarkably real, enveloping a charming European-style town with a fusion of architectural designs (including houses influenced by Gaudi), quaint cafes, expansive sports facilities, public pools, tennis courts carved into the rock, and a breathtaking #library. Its rows of shelves, housing several million books, extended deep beneath the city.

❤️‍🔥I walked and wondered how was it possible to create all that underground, beneath Long Island, New York, without anyone noticing!

Although, when you think about it, what do we really notice in our lives? What media writes that we discuss.

😏So, then it’s time to write about Hearton.
