Hello Coco Family, please note this past week in this climate we have not chosen silence- we have simply been collecting our thoughts. As a black-owned business with a mission to empower our community and beyond, it is imperative now more than ever to advocate for our community and our people. In these trying times weโ€™ve decided to come up with actions items that go a step further than awareness to help enact change. These steps are just a sample of ways you can help our community in various facets. This list with the help of @chnge is not all inclusive and we encourage you to add whatever you may feel can also help in the comments.โฃ โฃ Right now it feels suffocating to have so much ingrained and institutionalized in society that works against our benefit. However we know by this platform, we have an impact and thatโ€™s what we want to do - our part. โฃ โฃ We encourage you to take action on these resources and support those around you to do the same. Every voice matters. The Coco team thanks you for your participation and continued support as we continue to discuss and work on these changes. Please look out for more ways on how you can take action with us.โฃ โฃ Some local elections to participate in can include: statewide governor elections, city mayors, judges, local officials, and ballot initiatives. All which affect our community and itโ€™s wellbeing. With having two locations to support local businesses in these areas, more support is needed.
