I don’t even know where to begin, because none of this feels real.

You were my absolute best friend, the person I shared so much of my life with. From staying up all night gaming in my room, to camping trips and hiking, to getting in trouble at school because we couldn’t stop laughing… every memory I have with you is loud, full of life, and unforgettable.

And now there’s this silence I can’t explain.

To anyone reading this: please don’t look away. Please don’t brush this off as just another post. This is me, broken and raw, telling you that mental health is real. That the smiles we see don’t always show the war someone is fighting inside.

He was the strongest, funniest, kindest person I knew. And he still didn’t make it out. That terrifies me.

But I promise you this. I will tell your story. I won’t let your light go out quietly. If even one person hears this and reaches out for help instead of suffering alone, then your story is saving lives.

I love you always. Rest Easy Brother. Save me a place next to you up there. by @thecolbybarnes
