POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Ladies and gentlemen I give you the ENTIRE collection of @wordsworth_editions 💕

Double post from me today but it's our final weekend together before school kicks off and I'm going to take a break from the gram so I can enjoy it distraction free!
But... I also don't want to miss Day 5 of @thehelsproject #averybookishpostchallenge because it's CLASSICS🙌 so I'm posting it a day early 😂 These books are hands down the most affordable, aesthetically pleasing collection around right now.....

Would anybody like me to do a giveaway of a copy of one of these editions when I hit 10k?which one would you choose?

Well hello there! That break took quite a while longer than I had originally planned, thank you so much to all those of you who have stuck around 🥰Also, is anyone else totally digging this new 'hiding likes' setting from Instagram? I'm really interested to see if this has a positive impact on people's mental health surrounding this app.

Hope you're all having a lovely half term?

Thought there might be lots of you out there who would appreciate this @riflepaperco mug 📚❤️

This was a birthday present from the girls and possibly my favourite gift of all- I think it might be the first year all my presents have been book related/themed 🙈

Have a lovely weekend everyone! by @thecolourfulchronicles

Can you see me? 👋

Well hello there! I just checked and it's been over 40 weeks since I last posted! I have been neglecting this account and I apologise. If I'm totally honest I just lost the motivation for reviewing books. They started to pile up and I felt lots of pressure to keep on top of it and failed miserably. Just one review involves a lot of input, in terms of time to read it, set up and photograph, edit, review, post and all the pre and post follow up that goes with instagram. I've never done paid ads - basically the books were payment for my time - but I've realised that there are far superior bookstagrammers out there, who know their worth and do a fantastic job and I just don't think I'm up to that level! so I took a really long break, which was very much needed.
I do however still love reading, as do my girls and will continue to share as and when I feel compelled by something I or my family have loved. I also still love all things rainbow, of course, and have a passion for embroidery which I've turned into a little business over at @thecardichronicles and will share bits of pieces of that over here (if you don't mind🙈) when it fits the aesthetic 🤣🌈
I do struggle managing the two different accounts, I miss so much of my favourite people on here so hopefully combining the two more will help with that. If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read this and for sticking with me 😅💕 by @thecolourfulchronicles

Another one for the Harry Potter lovers. It's officially Back to Hogwarts day today (1st September) and I could definitely have used some magic of my own today I tell you! Matilda's been in a foul mood for most of the day, nothing I've done was right (including not driving to her nanny's house to fetch her twin dollies the very minute she asked, she lost something which was apparently my fault, I wouldn't let her stay in and watch horrible histories when the sun was shining outside and everyone else was out playing, etc. ). It took all my effort to take a breath, and go in to the the lounge where she was sulking on the sofa and ask if she wanted a cuddle because she didn't seem very happy. I asked what she wanted to play and we made playdough and baked jam tarts and muffins (even though I was tired, it was really close to dinner and I ended up doing 3 times the washing up). But.. it worked... It pulled her back from whatever funk she was in and I'm so glad I put aside the million things I was trying to get done on a rare day at home. I had quite a few msgs from people about my story about feeling pulled in lots of directions and not feeling you're doing well at any of them and it's really nice to know others feel the same guilt too. But I must go because I've got to go and make bracelets as requested by Delilah and read her bedtime story #mumlife by @thecolourfulchronicles

⚡MISCHIEF MANAGED⚡

Seeing as though the official 'Back to Hogwarts' celebrations for Potter Heads start this week I thought we'd do a little post in their honour!can't quite believe it has been 25 YEARS since the first book was published.

I'd like to say I've read all the stories aloud to the girls myself but after discovering them on Audible, I just can't compete with the mighty @stephenfryactually so it's his dulcet tones I now hear on an almost daily basis!

It's a Christmas tradition for our family to watch the films every holiday (well Matilda runs in and out the room at the scary bits 😬🙈)

Which house are you?🦡🐍🦁 Raven🐧(I couldn't find a raven so a penguin it is! 😂) by @thecolourfulchronicles

I'm basically only just posting photos of my birthday presents at this point, what can I say🙈🤣

Here's the @minalimadesign gang all together..... Until Snow White is released later this year of course! 😬

Have you come across these editions before? If you haven't I would highly recommend them, I think they are quite possibly the most beautiful books on my shelves . by @thecolourfulchronicles

*ad/prproduct - What better way to celebrate my birthday than sharing it with the @yotoplay launch of these classic tales from the world of Beatrix Potter.

Featuring a range of award-winning and contemporary voices, including Olivia Colman, Tom Hardy (hello!), James Acaster, David Harewood and Joanna Lumley, we've absolutely loved listening to them on the girls mini yoto during the school runs these past few weeks.

This pack includes the complete collection of Beatrix Potter Tales on five audio cards:

The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Other Stories
The Tale of Pig Robinson and Other Stories
The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin and Other Stories
The Tale of Benjamin Bunny and Other Stories
The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck and Other Stories

The cards are available to buy from the yoto website now, I've popped a link in my stories 💙 by @thecolourfulchronicles

Quarantine made me do it 😬......

That's right, the dreaded Covid hit our household after us managing to avoid it for two years. We're 5 days in to isolation and currently just Delilah and I are positive (Sam's convinced he's invincible). It has meant my book budget for the month was well and truly blown in an attempt to cheer myself up (always a book or two for the kids in there too obvs). Which one would you recommend I start with?!? by @thecolourfulchronicles
