I don't know if it's me, or it's my book box.

Lately I haven't been inspired to pick up something new. Admittedly I am 20+ books behind in my book boxes but when I go to pick up a new story, I am not excited.

Life is too short and it takes me a minute to get through a book, depending on my work/social week. But do you struggle through a book in hopes of being wrong? Do you finish things out of spite when you're already uninterested? Or do you quietly move on?

I think right now I am going to just cut my losses. I posted a bunch of new books on my Pango. Hopefully they will inspire someone else and bring someone else joy. But books in my home that have sat on my shelf are just starting to feel like an obligation, not a fun hobby.

I'm going to pick up this one. Wild Reverence. I've heard good things from a coworker. Maybe that will be the positivity I need to get me through this slump.

Asking the real question.

I just finished up the Thezmaar universe and I'm ready to dive into something new. Time for a stand-alone. The wolf and the Crown of Blood by Elizabeth May. Here we go. by @thecomfycozyreader

I've been loving falling into the world that Helen has created here.

Unknowingly, I started with the Ashes of Thezmaar instead of the Legends of Thezmaar series. I know some spiders but it didn't discourage me from reading the series.

If you love strong characters, this is for you.
If you want some female rage, this is for you.

The best part of these special edition boxes is to fall into some great series by accident. This edition is from @the.arcane.society and is so gorgeous. Normally I'm not big on character art but this is an exception.

I've fallen so far behind reading my physical TBR lately. Some is due to my new Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobook fixation. So today I have been reading by the pool followed by a glass of wine + YouTube reading ambiance (the Lord of the Rings soundtrack pairs so well with this series) and diving back into my book.

I can't be sad with pretty books to read.

Blue and green #sprayededgesstack is such an underrated color story in special edition book boxes right now.

Everything is constantly blue and purple. Where is the variety?

The weather is brightening up and I've been loving these blues and greens. I love the book subs I have but let's change it up. Bring back color, maximize design, geometry, etc. Character art is fun but not for a cover. I love the character art end pages or inserts.

I want to see some interesting, romantic designs. I haven't been sold on a lot of these editions lately. My wallet thanks you but I want some art for my shelves and a special moment to read. I read all of my physical books. Do you? by @thecomfycozyreader

Academy Setting.

Not your typical education.

A mix of my current read, Half City, as well as some old and new favorites. What I wouldn't give for a hardcover of A Great and Terrible Beauty. One of the first series that made me fall in love with the fantasy genre.

Take 2 weeks off and @thebookishbox stocked my shelf.

TBR is 14 deep. I've never been this far behind. Previously, 10 books took me 3 months to play catch up.

Fortunately, I have already read some of the sub releases on my Kindle; I've got the keep/sell list going. But I've got so many new worlds to explore.

I need to get back to 20 minutes a day. Same with a workout. I have time for that. I love to read so I'm not sure what prompted this longish break.

I never felt the need to buy and buy and buy. I have the 3 subs I like. I don't jump on every new sale offered, that would be insanely expensive and I don't have the space for it. I may buy one or 2 extra books every 2 or 3 months to finish a series if I loved them. I With a TBR this long I just don't want to feel rushed. This is my escape, my peaceful hobby.

I've got my YouTube ambiance on, a new book in my hand and I am hoping to get swept away.

Currently in the middle of The Enchanted Greenhouse from my bookish sub.

Rotating #shelfie. I wanted to see how large my physical TBR is but instead took a second to admire some of the collection.

In a bit of a reading slump. I've fallen behind on my physical TBR and then eating to reread the SJM universe before October got me realizing how daunting this all is.

I have to keep reminding myself that revisiting prior series I've enjoyed is a goal of mine this year. I'm doing that but not in the way I intended.

I keep physical copies of books I've loved. Beautiful trophies of worlds I'd love to visit again.

But then the book mail rolls in. I have 10 new stories to explore. Last time this happened it took me 3 months to catch up.

I have to fix my mindset again. The Artemis II mission recently reminding me the power of the human spirit and how much we are capable of if we not only dream but do.

10 new opportunities to discover stories or authors I may enjoy. The grass may be greener but I will never know until I explore the garden. And if not, someone else may love the same opportunity.

Everyday is a new chance to do something different.

March reading roundup.

Some amazing new finds but 4 rereads this month. I'm pretty sure everyone is also diving back into the SJM universe before October.

There are also a few on here I am already looking to reread, if not the never ending TBR and my current pile of sub boxes.
