DAVID NIHILL – TAKING TANGENTS

After a sold-out world tour, Irish comedian and bestselling author David Nihill is back with his latest show, Taking Tangents, which promises to do exactly that!

Born and raised in Dublin, David got drunk on travel and never quite sobered up. Having lived and worked in twelve countries and visited over eighty, his stories draw on cultural observations, attempts at learning languages, occasional international drinking sessions and life as a mildly confused immigrant.

Winner of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition, David has amassed over 1 billion video views and more than 2 million followers. Now catch him live at The Comics Lounge!

Friday 13 November 2026 at 7pm Doors open at 5:30pm The Comics Lounge, North Melbourne

Her mum worries she’s going to hell. Saaniya Abbas turned it into a comedy show.

Born in New Delhi and based in Dubai, Saaniya went from a sheltered upbringing to divorce, dating and discovering life on her own terms. In HELLARIOUS, she turns those experiences into sharp, mischievous stand-up about religious expectations, internet fame and the things you’re probably not supposed to say out loud.

Winner of The Skinny’s One to Watch Award, she’s performed HELLARIOUS to sold-out audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe, London’s Soho Theatre and across the UK and USA. Now she’s bringing it to The Comics Lounge.

If you love personal stories, dark humour and comedians willing to question the rules they grew up with, meet your next comedy discovery.

There’s even a story about the Australian who broke her heart. Melbourne, come hear her side.
