Hi everyone! Science communication is something I’ve been passionate about and wanting to do for awhile but didn’t know how to start, after all the thinking I realised the best way to start…is to start!😂

Today we’re talking about how basic science can lead to amazing technology: specifically how vibrating atoms can lead to GPS systems that help you track runs, order food and doom-scroll on your fav social media sites! Enjoy😌#scienceiscool#basicsciences taken in The Universe by @thecommonman__25

Michael Faraday: The Scientist of the common man. As one of the most influential scientists in history, he just started of as an apprentice book binder! But he didn’t give up on trying to find the hidden reality of nature which is what makes him one of the greatest experimentalists to have ever lived by @thecommonman__25

Going to start off with my favourite contribution to science by, in my opinion, a really underrated woman named Margaret Burbidge. At a time when women were meant to stay at home and cook, she and her colleagues were busy observing the universe and published a revolutionary paper in 1957 that essentially tells us that we’re all “children of the stars” and the universe is a part of us just as much as we’re a part of it. by @thecommonman__25
