The local church is more than a Sunday service. It’s a family, a place to grow, a place to serve, and a place where God uses ordinary people to make an eternal difference. ❤️‍🔥⛪️

We weren’t created to do life alone. We need people who will encourage us, challenge us, pray with us, walk through the hard seasons with us, and celebrate the victories alongside us.

Being part of the local church gives us opportunities to grow as followers of Jesus, surround ourselves with God’s people, find spiritual accountability, be part of God’s mission, and use what He’s given us to serve others.

So if you’ve been on the fence about getting connected, let this be your reminder: there is a place for you in the local church.

You don’t just need a church to attend—you NEED a church to belong to. 🙌 taken in Austin, Texas by @theconnectionchurch

Carlos and Abby’s story is a beautiful picture of what it looks like to put God at the center. 🤍

From meeting at church to praying, fasting, and getting into God’s Word together, their relationship was built on a foundation of faith.

Now, as husband and wife, they get to continue growing, building a family, and being part of what God is doing here at The Connection Church. And how special is it to know they get to be part of this next chapter as we put down roots and make room for what’s to come? 🌱

Today Pastor @colephillips reminded us about the power of prayer through the story of Nehemiah! 🙏🏼

When Nehemiah heard about the broken walls of Jerusalem, his first response was to weep, fast, and pray. Before he ever picked up a tool to rebuild the walls, he got on his knees before God.

What if our first response wasn’t worry, fear, or trying to fix everything ourselves, but PRAYER?

The same God who heard Nehemiah’s prayer hears ours today. Whatever you’re facing, whatever needs rebuilding, and whatever burden you’re carrying, bring it to the Lord first. ❤️‍🔥 taken in Hays County by @theconnectionchurch

Before we break ground, we need God to break our hearts for the things that break His heart. 🧡

As we prepare for what God has ahead for The Connection Church, may we never become so focused on building something that we forget why we’re building in the first place. Like Nehemiah, may we be moved by the need, shaped by prayer, and willing to be used by God.

We’re not just asking God to develop our land. We’re asking Him to develop our hearts. 🙏

God, prepare us for what You want to do through us during Rooted & Rising. AMEN! by @theconnectionchurch

Be rooted in God’s Word, and watch how He transforms your life. 🌱📖

The deeper your roots grow in Him, the stronger you’ll stand through every season. Let His truth shape your heart, renew your mind, and guide your steps. taken in The Connection Church by @theconnectionchurch

This is why it’s SO important to be rooted in the Word of God! 📖⚔️

The enemy will even twist Scripture, just like he did when tempting Jesus in the wilderness. If we don’t know the Word for ourselves, we can be led astray by a misused version of the truth.

Don’t just carry your Bible, KNOW your Bible! Pick up your sword, study the Word, and be ready for the battle. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God! taken in Hays County by @theconnectionchurch
