Mel Robbins’ Let Them Theory is a mindset shift that encourages people to release control over how others behave, react, or perceive them. Instead of resisting, arguing, or trying to change someone, the idea is to simply let them—let them think what they want, let them act how they choose, and let them make their own decisions. This approach is about protecting your own peace and focusing on what you can control.

When applied to relationships, the Let Them Theory can be transformative:
• Let people show you who they are—Instead of trying to convince someone to treat you a certain way, let their actions speak for themselves.
• Let go of seeking approval—Not everyone will understand or agree with your choices, and that’s okay.
• Let people walk away—If someone chooses to distance themselves, rather than chasing or forcing a connection, allow them to go. The right people will stay.
• Let people take responsibility for their own actions—You can’t control how someone treats you, but you can control how you respond.

My buddy @gavbear18 has likely seen this principle play out in his life by choosing not to force relationships, allowing people to be who they are, and focusing on those who align with his values and energy. Instead of wasting time on those who don’t reciprocate, he’s able to invest in people and opportunities that truly matter.

When we embrace the Let Them Theory, we stop trying to control things outside of our power and instead cultivate stronger, healthier relationships built on mutual respect and understanding. by @theconnectioncorner1

If we can’t fill our own social bucket, how can we expect anyone else to? There is a quote that says, “the opposite of addiction is connection.” And that is so true. Connection helps us overcome in ways that we never would have thought possible. I have seen it firsthand in my own life. by @theconnectioncorner1

The episode dropping on Sunday goes deep into my past. I share my story with you and the mistakes I’ve made along the way. I don’t like going back to a lot of these places because of how they make me feel. But being vulnerable and stepping into my past has helped create the future I want. I can’t wait for you all to listen to the full story on Sunday. by @theconnectioncorner1

The opposite of addiction is CONNECTION! That’s why this is so important to me. Many people (including myself) think that the solution is to work harder and not tell anyone alone. “Shared joy is double the joy, but shared sorrow is half the sorrow”. There are people in your corner. All you need to do is open up to them. by @theconnectioncorner1
