The spec content trick that nobody talks about enough...

Film a product you already own like you were hired to do it.

Strong hook. Clean lighting. Natural delivery. 30-45 seconds.

That video is a portfolio sample. Brands genuinely cannot tell the difference. They watch it and decide based on quality, not whether you were paid.

The 'above the fold' section of your website is crucial. It's the first thing visitors see without scrolling. Put your strongest content there; they likely won't explore further. by @thecontentcreationacademy

Bad lighting can ruin a great video. 💡

You can have the perfect hook and a great product, but if the lighting is off, brands notice right away. Shadows, grainy footage, and flat-looking skin make content feel less premium.

Here’s the 3-point lighting system:

Level 1: Front light. Your main light, facing you. This is the one you NEED. Even a window works.

Level 2: Side fill light. Softens the shadows on one side of your face and evens everything out.

Level 3: Back light. Separates you from the background and adds that polished, professional look.

You don’t need all three to start. But at minimum, get Level 1 right. It makes the biggest difference.
