The colors, textures, and surfaces of my handblown glass vessels and sculptures are inspired by the beauty and wonder of the natural world. I gather references from photographic images, including aerial and drone photography, but the resulting colors and patterns are more akin to the sun-dappled scenes of impressionist paintings.

Much in the way that beaches, mountains, and landscapes are eroded over time by wind and water, the surface of each piece is treated for a smooth, matte finish.

Inspired by the beauty and wonder of the natural world, Thomas Spake’s hand-blown glass vessels reflect his passion. The colors, textures and patterns are reminiscent of rolling hills, mountains and moving water. This piece of Thomas’s “River Series” feels like a glance from an airplane window when over the Cumberland. There is more of this talented artist’s glass work at the Copper Fox Gallery.

New woodcuts at the gallery by Kent Ambler of Greenville, SC. Kent’s expressive woodcuts are inspired by nature; birds, wildlife and landscapes. Ambler approaches his work intuitively, emphasizing mark-making, color, texture and the beauty of imperfection. He hand-carves his woodblocks, mixes his own inks and prints his images in small editions. Stop in to see this fantastic work in person:)

Tennessee artist Randy Purcell’s artwork entails the process of cutting paper and transferring ink from magazines onto beeswax. This procedure is tedious and demanding, but the results are no less spectacular. Take a visit out to the Copper Fox Gallery to see more of Randy’s beautiful encaustic ink transfer collages.

Another original has found its home. 🤍

I’m so happy to share that Running Free has sold through @thecopperfoxgallery Gallery, joining The Nest, which found its collector earlier this summer.

Being represented by a gallery was honestly never something I imagined for myself when I started this journey as an artist. And I feel incredibly fortunate that my first gallery experience has been with Copper Fox. They are such a special place, filled with beautiful work and people who genuinely care about the artists they represent.

A huge thank you to the Copper Fox team for believing in my work, sharing it with collectors, and now helping two of my paintings find their homes. It means more than you know.

Three of my originals remain at the gallery: Majesty of the Plains, Onaqui Spirit and Illuminescence.

Which one would you take home?

If one speaks to you, contact Copper Fox Gallery to inquire. 🤍
