Another favorite, not pictured, is the mess I get to make each day and not have to clean up allowing me to jump right in the following morning!!! Bliss!!!

Am I the only one like that? It makes me happy although I have many friends who need it tidy when they finish their creative day!

Back Open July 30th. 💛

With the exception of a few day trips, I’ll be around mostly working in the shop so if you have a need, text. And if you’re in town, like the sign on the door says, if the door’s unlocked you can come on in!

Awnings UP!!

Took awhile after our shop flood this winter but they’re up for the season and things are way cooler, just in time for the 🔥wave!!

The story behind the 6 Chairs 🪑

Upon having meandered into our shop one Saturday morn, 2 clients were inspired to commission us in creating individual narratives for six dining chairs they’d recently purchased.

They filled us with stories, ideas and supplied us with clothing, cherished textiles, uniforms highly decorated, and keepsakes! From there we went to work!!

We combined their pieces with items from our collections and created chair backs that work together in telling stories yet stand strongly individual. We framed items with meandering thread. We embroidered, creating texture to authenticate an ice cream cone…..as one must, created pockets for interaction and creative embellishment!! The list goes on.

It was a lengthy process and we shared many collaborative conversations. There was, of course, a fair share of trial and error combining non-tradish textiles and ephemeral for upholstery but we stayed the course and came up with some ideas and executions that we all loved!!!

It was a special project with special folk and I’m not gonna lie, there was some magical happenings with the fireman’s uniform I was working with.

Got the chance to update patching on this high back sofa. Originally both owners and myself working on this project years ago, considered the piece to be for occasional sitting. Turns out it became a hot spot and very desirable for resting oneself! LOVE THAT!! So we just had the chance to update and add additional vintage textiles, all hand stitched.

Interesting insight….the lace really withstood wear way more than I ever would’ve expected! GO lace!!

So honored to have a piece in such an incredible spot! Clients with amazing taste! 😉

After lengthy trial and error we finally landed a fabric that would feel electric yet be sewable for double welting! Originally we were working with nylon hoping to get it to comply, but no luck! It kept getting bunchy.

Somehow this almost neon orange/red cotton was buried on the shop shelves and proved perfect for the task! Each chair needed its own bit of pop! Of course.

Aside from the custom pieces we make, our shop has inspired and rethought pieces ready for your space!!! It all started there!💛

We have 3 of these outstanding wicker chairs with sleek wooden arms. Great for porch living! Super comfortable and a deep sit for long legs.

We’ve sealed them so the peeling paint is not scratchy!
We disassembled many, many vintage military jackets(no easy task due to their well-built construction) to create lasting seat coverings.
We crowned their cuteness with grassy yellow pillows.
