When you’re a new mom it can feel like you’re in this weird middle space of life where you have few friends that are where you are.

So many of my friends are either big sisters to me and their kids are older or they’re newly married or not having kids for awhile and while I love that for them, I knew that the antidote for me feeling lonely in this season was going to be OTHER MOM FRIENDS.

I was really nervous to throw my first event. Nervous no one would sign up and nervous that other moms would maybe even think “hey you’re new to mom life so how can you lead?” But I realized how hard it was very quickly to fully jump back into taking classes in the fitness world when childcare is sparse. So I decided well, I’m just going to put this out into the universe and see how it goes! And it was a blast.

Even little James Vankat had so much fun.;) Thank you to our event partners, the Corner Event Suite at Waterloo, Smile It’s Game Day and lululemon for supporting this new momma’s dream.

Act II is my brainchild: wellness, community, connection and getting off our phones and getting outside. This was its first event!
