I’m a gay man living in Los Angeles since the 1890s. I’m not relevant but my views are. I’m not looking to be popular. I’m just looking for the truth.

Spooky costumes. Sober spirits. SCARY good fun. 🎃👻🪩

The Crystal Meth Anonymous Los Angeles (CMA LA) Halloween Party blew me away! A member’s Pasadena home and backyard became a Halloween wonderland filled with incredible decorations, yummy food, specialty virgin drinks, delicious treats, and a light-up dance floor. And everyone brought their costume A-game! 🔥

One of the best parties I’ve been to in a long time—no alcohol or illicit substances required. Sobriety looks pretty damn fun from here! 🧡

Every week, @beittshuvah spotlights a resident on social media and during Shabbat—usually through a written interview and photo, and occasionally through video.

This week, I was honored to share my story on camera, reflecting on my journey through life and recovery.

This place has changed my life, and I’m eternally grateful to my Higher Power for placing BTS in my path. 💜

Had to drag myself to CMA LA’s Halloween party… then didn’t want to leave! 😂 Crystal Meth Anonymous Los Angeles brought tons of food, specialty virgin drinks, a dance floor, and fantastic people. Completely sober and gay AF. Who knew sober Halloween could be this much fun? 🎃🌈 #SoberHalloween #CMALA #LGBTQRecovery #SoberFun #TheCornfather by @thecornfather

All treats, no substances. Sober and gay AF! 🎃🏳️‍🌈🪩

Getting DOWN at CMA LA’s Halloween party! CMA is Crystal Meth Anonymous—a recovery fellowship similar to AA, focused on recovery from crystal meth addiction.

Costumes, community, and a dance floor full of sober people living it UP. You don’t need mind-altering substances to have a damn good time. 💃👻

Four months at @beittshuvah! 💙 Primary stay complete—IOP (intensive outpatient), here I come! Outpatient usually means nonresidential care, but I’ll move to the campus’s IOP housing, with more pass freedom, opportunities to intern/work, and fewer group therapy hours. Grateful to keep growing, one day at a time. And yes, the bronze bust is better dressed. 😂

Behind every skyline are people: families, nurses, veterans, workers, and children. Their lives deserve more than political bravado. Our cities are not expendable, and protecting them should never be negotiable. Demand leadership that values human life.
