Hi friends! It’s been almost one whole year since I’ve officially launched The Crafted Comfort Studio and realized I’ve never actually introduced myself nor do I show my face here🤭

I guess now is the perfect time to do that 🤣 So hi, I’m Desiree and I’m the person behind The Crafted Comfort Studio which is a DFW based creative small business. I’ve added a little bit of my story here.

I’ll keep my intro brief but I do want to say that if you have followed me here or on any of my other accounts, taken a class with, or bought something at a market, thank you. I love you guys. And if you just stumbled across my account, welcome!

I’ve been working hard to ramp up my social media presence here so be on the look out for all the new things that are coming to include my digital newsletter 👀

I was supposed to be taking it easy this month but I am outside where the people are LOL! You can catch me in Fort Worth on Oct 23 from 5-9 for a fall vendor market. I will have some cute crochet and sewn items per usual along with some trinkets. Come check out myself and all the other vendors at the park in the Bluebonnet Circle. October feels a little different around here.

This month marks ONE YEAR of The Crafted Comfort Studio — one year of making, teaching, experimenting, pivoting, learning, starting over, and figuring out what it really means to build a creative business that feels like mine.

And honestly? I’m learning that building slowly doesn’t mean building without ambition.

Sometimes the most intentional thing you can do is pause, reassess, and make room for what actually deserves your energy.

So this month, I’m leaning into creativity, community, cozy rituals, and the kind of business growth that leaves room for a life outside of the business, too.

One year ago, The Crafted Comfort Studio was still becoming.

Since then, I’ve made things I never imagined making, taught people how to create with their own hands, stepped into rooms I never expected to be in, met incredible creatives, tried things that worked…and plenty that didn’t.

And somewhere along the way, I realized this business was never meant to be just about crafts.

It’s about creating a life that feels good to live.

A slower morning. A handmade object. A room filled with things you made yourself. A conversation around a table with other entrepreneurs. A workshop where someone discove by @thecraftedcomfortstudio

If you have been around, you have probably heard me talk about The Golden Muse. It started off as just a fashion show but then I decided to make it an immersive experience. Picture being able to interact with the art AND the community around you. Get to learn the story behind each piece. This will be a showcase to celebrate The Crafted Comfort Studio’s one year anniversary.

This is also a collaborative event. If you or someone you know in the DFW area is a seasoned designer OR newer to sewing but would like to showcase a piece, please reach out! It is free to be part of this event and the requests are very simple!

Hi friends! I’ve been looking for the perfect event to network with other entrepreneurs and I decided why not make one. Next Friday, I will be hosting a meet up for entrepreneurs that is completely free. I’ll be at Magnolia’s: Sous Le Pont from 10-2 so stop by at any time. My goal is to connect with other entrepreneurs and share valuable information and insights to help each other grow and succeed. If you’ve been wanting to get connected with other business owners, now is your chance. Something has been brewing here at The Crafted Comfort Studio behind the scenes 🧶☕️

I have partnered with 2 local coffee shops in the DFW to host Coffee & Crafts. This is a chance to build community while learning a featured craft each month and supporting local businesses. The craft this month will be hand embroidery!

This month you can find us:

After Hours at Lucky Goat in Frisco
Enduro Coffee in Fort Worth for a Sunday Reset

Each ticket will include all your supplies, a take home project and a cup of coffee (or chai if you’re like me 😁)

Yesterday I headed to my creative studio in Arlington to meet up with some of the other artists. We are preparing for the 10th annual West Main Arts Fest taking place on September 19th.

Here’s some of the behind the scenes clips of us prepping for that. Last night was filled with lots of stories, pizza, snacks, and plenty of paint.

And if you are looking for some new art, be sure to check out the West Main Arts Fest. There will be lots of artists there including me, food vendors and live music. You don’t want to miss it!

Come spend the afternoon with me as a creative business owner!

Today I checked out @endurocoffee in Fort Worth and got to chat with Madison for a bit. They just moved into this new cozy space and will officially be opening soon. Even though they are still preparing for the official opening, I was able to get some content of the space 😁
The space has such an inviting vibe and there was so much cute art work displayed throughout the entire building. There was even a space for merchandise that you can purchase.

Now you may be wondering what exactly does coffee have to do with The Crafted Comfort Studio? The answer is more than you may think!

While I was there, Madison told me how Enduro is really big on building community and even helping small businesses like myself grow. As a community builder and a small business owner that is right my alley. I’ve been working behind the scenes to build a craft community in DFW, as well as make creative practices more accessible by popping up all over the metroplex.

In September, I’ll begin hosting Coffee and Crafts pop ups and Enduro will be one of my first stops 🥰 More details to follow once the logistics are figured out. Until then, keep making art 🫶🏾

I want to start with a disclaimer! I am no content creator…yet 🤭 but this weekend I stepped out of my comfort zone and went to a content creator meet up which I would typically avoid. I’m so happy I went. There was nothing but good vibes and a good time. I want to step up my social media presence and this event definitely gave me the boost of confidence I needed! It was great listening and learning new things and watching others work their magic. This video is my takeaway from what I learned. Okayyy, this was definitely my kind of meetup 😂✨

Good people, good food, cameras everywhere, conversations flowing and yes… we absolutely got on the dance floor 😂

I loved being in a room where people were there to connect, create, support each other and actually have a good time while doing it.
