My first poetry open mic!!

Gosh, this is one of the most nerve-wracking experiences I’ve had in a while. I can’t remember a time I truly felt my knees might buckle🙀 Thank you @slamlandia for creating a space to share and be held. It is always such a blessing to attend poetry event, and incredibly fun to share. I’m excited to see how my writing and performance continues to grow. Truly in the beginnings =^.^=

“As You Like It” Farmer’s Market Showcase

So much love and thanks to my castmates that made this dream come to fruition🫶

This showcase is a big milestone in my theater marketing internship. While it’s far from over, I have already gained so much insight and interest in this aspect of theater-making. I’m more excited everyday for this delightful show to open!

Thank you to the enormously talented @jozbyjoy and @_1bird1stone_ for having me as a model!! Both of them collaborated for this show and made an incredible collection :) Joy’s designs initially caught my eye in the last show I was in, and I am so grateful to model for a designer whose work absolutely enraptured me upon first encounter. Ahh, where to start?!

After the misfortune of last year’s “Blue Summer”, I vowed to make this summer the best one yet… I have succeeded!!!

It has been such a blessing to spend my summer with so many beautiful people that I love— friends and family alike— some I haven’t seen in many years!! I met wonderful street cats, hula hooped to my heart’s content, modeled my first runway show, swam so much the smell of rivers lingered in my car for a while (pee-ew!!), broke my pinky toe, fell in love, got my heart broken, started writing music again, felt the sun on my palms, went to my first pride celebration, performed my first open mic, made and lost friends, cried, laughed, sang, screamed, danced, PLAYED. I lived so goddamn much these past few months!! This triumph isn’t a result of this summer alone. My philosophy the past year-about has been to “honor my mind, my body, and my spirit.” I can see a dramatic difference from who I was last year compared to now. While I still have habits and thought patterns that are not yet released, I can firmly say that I am the happiest and healthiest I’ve been in a very long time.

Throwback Tuesday..???

I began to fall in love with someone on this hike. It’s bittersweet looking back on these photos now, and I share them now both in mourning and celebration. The recent eclipse invited us to sit in stillness with feelings we’ve neglected, buried, and tried to forget. I spent a lot of the day prior and morning of journaling about this period of my life. It feels good to share these pictures as a way to honor these feelings. I love them because, to me, they look like someone that loves (loved?) me took them. I don’t think I’ve quite reached a conclusion, but often we finish chapters before we fully understand them. by @thecraisins
