Another trip around the sun. 🎈

Been quiet on here since April, but life definitely wasn’t quiet.

I just chose to live some of it instead of posting it.

Somewhere in that time, life started looking a little different. I got to slow down and really be present. Months of “paternity leave” turned into Daddy Day Care 😂 — bottles, naps, playground trips, random everyday moments and memories I probably would’ve missed otherwise.

I watched my baby girl grow right in front of me. Got to witness her first steps. Watched her personality come alive. Celebrated her first birthday. And somewhere between all of those little moments, I realized just how much this chapter was changing me too.

Behind the scenes, there were other blessings happening too. A new home. A new job. New beginnings. Things I’m grateful for, but never felt the need to announce while they were happening.

And through it all, I still found time to be me. Family. Fatherhood. Life. A few kicks along the way. 👟

Looking through these pictures reminded me how much can happen when you’re not worried about documenting everything for everybody else.

So for my birthday, instead of just posting another picture of myself, I wanted to share a few pieces of the life I’ve been living.

A year of moments. A year of growth. A year of becoming.

Some things I shared.
A lot I kept private.
All of it became part of me.

For this #TrainerTuesday, I’m doing something a little different. Bear with me for a Second… (sigh).

From Lawrence Taylor to Michael Strahan, Amani Toomer, Plaxico Burress to Victor Cruz, Phil Simms to Eli Manning (and of course, Jeremy Shockey), you were a die-hard Giants fan through and through. You lived for those game days, your heart beating blue and red with every touchdown and every nail-biting moment.

But you were so much more than just a fan. You were a culinary wizard, turning the simplest ingredients into something extraordinary, the way only you could. An avid collector of all things nerdy—Marvel comics, Funkos—that connection we had put us on a different label. We shared that bond, that passion for stories larger than life.

And then there was Prince. The artist, the legend, Mr. Purple Rain himself. You knew his music like scripture, his lyrics intertwined with your life’s soundtrack, a reflection of your soul. You were a Prince connoisseur, not just a fan, but someone who truly understood his genius, his artistry.

We may not have been close in every aspect of life, but those connections—the Giants, Marvel — brought us together. In those moments, we were brothers in arms, geeking out over the things we loved.

Unc, you lived life on your own terms. You showed me that passion matters, that loving the things you love unapologetically is a strength. I didn’t say it often, but I admired that about you. And now, as I stand here in your memory, I realize how much I’ll miss that spark you brought into this world.

This is my tribute to you. Rest easy, Unc. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
