We are so excited to welcome Morgan as our worship leader for WORKOUT & WORSHIP: RUN YOUR RACE! 🏁

Morgan is an educator, worship leader, and seminary student with a passion for helping others grow deeper in their faith and walk confidently in Christ.

As the Teaching & Discipleship Director for Bates Memorial’s Young Adult Ministry, she is intentional about creating spaces where people can ask honest questions, build meaningful relationships, and learn how to LIVE OUT their faith beyond Sunday morning. 📖

What we love most is her heart for WORSHIP, WELLNESS & COMMUNITY — three things that are at the very foundation of Spiritually Fitt!

Because worship is so much more than a song we sing. It’s a life we live, a heart surrendered, and a body presented to God as a living sacrifice. ✝️

DISCIPLESHIP.
I’m learning that discipleship is more than just saying yes. It’s saying yes continuously. Saying yes scared. Saying yes when your resources and understanding feel limited. Saying yes even when everyone else isn’t going where you want to go.
We talk about the raw reality of discipleship, exploring how even Peter went from fearless to fearful, and how our intentions for God can sometimes hinder others from seeing Him. We ask the hard question: do people see Jesus when they look at us?

**Don’t give up. Keep praying.**

Jesus told His disciples “that they should always pray and not lose heart.” (Luke 18:1)

The delay is not a denial.
The waiting is not wasted.
The weariness is not the end.

Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep showing up.

God is still working—even when you can’t see it.

The ship broke.

The promise didn’t.

One thing that was preached today at Bates Memorial that stayed with me: God didn’t promise Paul the ship—He promised Paul would make it.

Some of us are grieving the ship when God has been protecting us all along.

Storms don’t cancel God’s promises.

We’ve become really good at identifying emotions.

Not always at stewarding them.

Anger isn’t bad.
Fear isn’t bad.
Sadness isn’t bad.

They’re signals.

The question is whether they’re informing your decisions or leading them.

Romans 12:2 reminds us that transformation happens through the renewing of the mind. Neuroscience calls it neuroplasticity. Scripture calls it renewal.

Different language.
Same invitation.

Mary made a habit of this in Luke!!! The question was why, but she had found favor with God. This was essential to her growth while she was carrying Jesus. Even in raising Him she always made sure to hide everything in her heart. This wisdom connects to the relationship she shared with Elizabeth. The older women pouring into the younger ensuring that wisdom is with them so they may carry out godly lives. 1 Peter 3. Every way in which you carry yourself is connected to wisdom!!! Ensuring wisdom in your life ensures character development which brings us closer to God and pushes us to be a light and bring him glory!

Peep this. If God says that what is in our heart will come out then WHY NOT hide the word in it. Therefore when it’s time for stuff to COME OUT, it will only be His Word!!! The thing about His Word is it doesn’t come back void. Bc sometimes we say things and we turn around have to pay for it. Sometime we do things and it comes with long standing consequences. However, if the word is in our heart and that is what comes out of us we don’t have to worry about consistently having to go back to repent. We don’t have to worry about breaking bridges and having to come back for forgiveness. We don’t have to worry about triggering everybody because we aren’t dealing with our stuff. We don’t have to worry about carrying that baggage and people avoiding interaction bc they don’t know how you gonna show up today. We don’t have to worry about giving up. We don’t have to worry about whether we win or lose. We don’t have to worry about which way to go and how to get there. We don’t worry when the devil comes to us trying to tempt us. We don’t have to worry when the road gets weary. We don’t have to worrry because the WORD is literally in our heart and that’s what’s gonna come out EVERY TIME if we choose to stay connected!

The Month of March we will be embarking on the Proverbs Challenge. Just commit to reading ONE Proverb a day!

During the challenge we will have Bible Study every Thursday of the month of March to capture and share our progress through the Proverbs and how the wisdom is impacting our every day lives!! We will also be exploring the life of Solomon and how it connects to the Proverbs he wrote!!!
