My favorite secondhand find, a.k.a. my dog Randall got to come with us to our favorite city. – Chicago. When we got a dog, it was really important for him to come along with us as much as possible because we didn’t feel it right leaving our home at home. Especially when he was surrendered by his first family and the thought of taking him to a kennel to be boarded for Long period of time would have definitely made him anxious.

@alofthotels @marriottbonvoy have some great hotels that are dog, friendly, including aloft and @moxyhotels. this video is not sponsored, just a genuine great time that was had while we spent 24 hours in Chicago. ( but if you want a partner, Randall is ready for his next trip 😉) The staff was super nice and friendly and even gave him a bunch of treats.

if you’re traveling with your pet, I would highly recommend checking out Marriott Bonvoy. Bonus points if you stay in Chicago check out @moderndrama20 if you are a homebody and love seeing beautiful home decor like me.

While passing through Chicago, my husband found @moderndrama20 , an MCM mega warehouse filled with some of the most beautiful furniture pieces I have ever seen. Normally going into furniture stores give me the ick, but there’s something about a fully secondhand paradise with perfectly curated pieces that just warms my heart.

We chatted with Kris, who is one of the owners alongside her son. She told us that they buy and sell pieces daily, and even helped us somewhat appraise one of our own pieces based off of our photos.

If you’re ever in Chicago or are looking for a statement piece of furniture for your home, I would highly recommend stopping in. They have everything from 10 person sofas to books, lamps, pottery pieces, and so much more.

Which piece was your favorite? I am a sucker for coffee tables so this brown leather and glass mega table was something I wanted to style with endless coffee table books , and maybe an ashtray or two.

I remember this being the first technical candelabra that I Thrifted at @goodwillky.

I just remember thinking it was so cool that it had three taper candle holders. I didn’t use it for years cause I didn’t even have any taper candles, and then when I did use it, I had electric/battery powered candles and used it around Christmas time. 😂

Part 16 of sharing my candelabra collection… We’re over halfway done! I remember when I got this pair was one of the first pillar candle sets I had gotten to use up some of the pillar candles I had from the previous display. Also remember there was another piece making it a trio, but I kinda left it at the thrift store because I just wanted two 😅
