Taking it back to a Take Heart trip in 2014! ❤️

From the early days of building relationships and walking alongside children and families in Kenya to the work we are doing today, it’s incredible to see how God has grown the mission of Take Heart.

The faces, the memories, and the relationships remind us why we started. Over a decade later, our heart remains the same: creating opportunities, restoring hope, and transforming lives through the love of Jesus.

Happy 29th Birthday to my Faithful son , Ambrose! He was at the orphanage on my first trip on October of 2012 but he joined Take Heart in January of 2018. We have experienced almost every emotion life can offer. We are for sure better together . He needed a Mama and I always wanted a son. Thank you Lord for allowing our paths to cross on this journey of life . So proud of you and pray for you everyday . You are loved ! by @thedeltaforce

For Tori, one of the most meaningful parts of traveling to Kenya was seeing God’s call to care for the fatherless and widows lived out right in front of her.

It wasn’t just something Take Heart talks about—it was something she witnessed in the homes, classrooms, and relationships she encountered. Seeing that calling carried out made the mission real and revealed the heart behind everything Take Heart does.
