Hi, I’m Samantha, founder of The Detangle Lab™.

I created The Detangle Lab because I saw a need for something different in the hair industry a private, judgment-free space focused specifically on the services people often struggle to find help with.

Matted Hair Recovery. Loc Removal. Microloc Removal. Braid Takedowns.

These services require patience. They require time. And most importantly, they require someone who understands that sometimes what may look like “just hair” carries a much bigger story.

For some clients, sitting in my chair means finally addressing matting they’ve been embarrassed about.

For others, it means closing a chapter after wearing locs for years and wanting to see their loose natural hair again.

And sometimes, it simply means having someone else take on the tedious process of a takedown so they don’t have to do it alone.

That’s why this work matters to me.

The Detangle Lab isn’t about rushing through hair. It’s about taking the time to carefully work through it.

No judgment. No embarrassment. Just patience, privacy, and a fresh start.

When a client is willing to get on a plane, land in Atlanta, and head straight from the airport to their appointment… I don’t take that lightly.

Hair recovery is more than just “detangling.” For many of my clients, finding someone willing to patiently work through severe matting without immediately suggesting cutting it off can be difficult.
