This starts the 45th year around the sun. Surrounded by new and old friends all holding a special place in my heart and life. Thankful for those that made it out last night, those that reached out to me directly and on socials. Life has been wild over the last month. This new year brings new opportunities, both in food and outside of it. I will start sharing more soon. Thankful for what I’ve learned this last year, it’s made me stronger, more confident, and more vulnerable. I know I have a huge personality at times, I love big, feel deeply, strive to find joy in everything and everyone. See ya real soon. Wow! What a night @barana.atl so many amazing moments. The team was so warm and welcoming. As we learn more about Jamaica, and the aftermath of Melissa. I want to introduce you all to the Hampden Distillery which is the oldest rum distillery on the island. The staff here was amazing our guide in red was a gem! She taught us about rum making, how they did it, we learned about esters and aromas and what makes rum so good and why they are the best! I brought back some rum fire! The most fragrant white rum I’ve ever had! Leave a comment if you’ve been to Jamaica! I’m looking for ways to give back to those affected. My Jamaica trip highlight was visiting @rockland_bird_sanctuary the gent running it was amazing. Jamaica’s national bird is the green hummingbird in my photos above. I hope the staff is safe. I’ve heard my friend Trevor is same. This summer, I got to go to Jamaica. For the first time, my amazing friend Darcey invited me to explore as a local with her amazing husband Trevor. They welcome me at the airport and guided me around Montego Bay and the surrounding areas. I have so many pictures from this trip. The most important thing about this trip is diving deeper into friendship with these two eipc humans. They will forever occupy a little space in my heart just like this island will. I was able to see and explore the island and was welcomed into places that most people wouldn’t be able to see. More pics to come for now. I hope everyone is safe from hurricane Melissa.
