Business Highlight: @thepolkadot.co @thedotspot.studio

Writing about a space is funny. The room itself didn’t technically chat me up or tell me fun facts about its life… but would you believe me if I said it kinda did?

It’s a blank canvas. Four walls and a little room that give people a platform to bring their ideas to life. An event space, a sculpt studio, a content shoot location, a place to throw a party, wear that outfit you’ve been saving for an occasion, or simply embrace yourself and your dreams.

What started as a lease signed to give @thepolkadot.co a home has grown into something more: a community space in more ways than I can count.

@heyallie.xo and I wandered over after our lattes, and I found myself wishing the walls could talk. Filled with local entrepreneurs, there’s creativity around every corner. The painted doors, the smells drifting out of little bakeries, the random props waiting outside studio doors… it all brought me back to running up and down these same halls on days I didn’t have school, when my dad would bring me to his office (on the same floor, might I add).

But what I love most about @thedotspot.studio is its ability to be whatever people need it to be. It meets you where you are, gives you room to scratch that creative itch, and lets you bring even your wildest visions to life.

What’s next for The Dot Spot? Only she knows. ✨ taken in The Dot Spot by @thedotspot.studio

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted my face so without further ado, let me re-introduce myself.
many of you already know my name, jenna nicole.
I specialize in candid portrait photography as well as capturing live music. I picked up a camera at the age of 12 and fell in love with the art of freezing a moment in time. when I’m not taking photos I’m hiking, painting, playing video games or cuddling my cats.
I am also incredibly grateful for every opportunity and client I’ve had just this past year.
thank you for supporting me 💌 taken in Madison, Wisconsin by @thedotspot.studio

Let’s reset The Dot Spot. 🤍

The studio gets cleaned and fully reset after every single shoot.

Furniture goes back. Floors get cleaned. Mirrors and surfaces get wiped down. Backdrops get reset. And mystery scuffs get hunted down.

Because when you walk into The Dot Spot, it should feel like the space is ready just for you to create your magic.

Shoutout @mrclean Magic Erasers for basically being on staff at this point. Love you forever. 🫶

Photography studio turned intimate event space! ✨🪩

The studio got a little extra sparkly this weekend for two very special celebrations. 💕

AND peep our newest addition! 😍 This pedestal box was handmade by @jakeofalltradeswi and painted to perfectly match our studio walls. Use it for product photography, styling details, creative shoots…you can even sit on it!

We have a feeling this one is going to get a lot of use around here. ✨

Something about me is that I never thought I was creative. I wouldn’t have thought in a million years that I would one day consider myself an artist.

Artistry was something I always admired and applauded in other people because it was a trait I never thought was inside of me. I thought artists were simply born with this innate ability to create, to see things differently, to make something beautiful out of nothing. I never realized that maybe I had that same ability, too.

Until the beauty industry opened a door for me.

Hair completely changed the way I saw myself. It gave me a creative outlet I never knew I needed and showed me that artistry doesn’t always look the exact same.

It has given me a career that I’m proud of, a creative outlet, and opportunities I never could have imagined, but more than anything, it introduced me to a part of myself I didn’t know existed. I’m so grateful that something I never thought I was capable of has become one of the greatest parts of who I am. & to my clients, I LOVE YOU 😭🤍 thank you for trusting me to bring your vision to life every time you sit in my chair.
