In the wake of the unexpected news, I’m just feeling an immense amount of gratitude for the community, all of the judges, @denimstrummer and the whole team over at Big John. They took a chance on me with a pair of jeans, and I tried my best to show them what could be done in a year of honest wear. One heck of a year!

Day 365 / 365 - #indigoinvitational

End of the line, folks. Wrapping up my fourth Indigo Invitational now and I still find myself learning new things along the way. This year I did all my own repairs with a gifted, vintage Sears sewing machine and managed to complete the entire competition without having to send them out for cuff repairs or crotch blowouts.

As always, thanks to @denimstrummer for all the opportunities. And it’s always a pleasure to fade with you lovely and passionate people. Signing off for Y5.

Been taking a break from the old gram but still putting in the wears on these Rares. This is just some spectacular fading denim. I feel like they really broke open at the six month mark. But it’s certainly not coming without some damage. I have been doing all my own sewing machine repairs which has included crotch reinforcement and darning the cuffs. My plan is to keep these in my hands for the full 365.
