I’ve been dreaming of a space like this for a long time.

Meet The Dreaming Table

The Dreaming Table is where creativity becomes a way back to yourself, to play, to imagination, to community. It’s a place to loosen what’s been gripping you and remember who you are beneath fear and productivity.

We move, make, imagine, and play putting the current systems and any urgency on pause.

The Dreaming Table is a practice of remembering.

At The Dreaming Table, dreaming is embodied. We gather in community to make, move, imagine, and experiment without pressure, performance, or needing to be “good” at anything.

Here, creativity is treated as a human capacity.

Each Day of Dreaming is shaped by what the community needs in that moment. Some days are held by me alone. Others will be co-facilitated with trusted community space holders. Over time, these days will grow into deeper seasonal gatherings and, eventually, retreats (beginning in 2027).

The first invitation to the table opens this March.

Seeing my daughter-in-love’s Black Tarot deck featured on the one of the highest streaming series on Netflix right now (A Different World) is a massive family milestone, but the cultural shift behind it is what I really want us to embrace.

We are witnessing a beautiful bridge between Gen X and Gen Z. We aren’t talking about rigid dogmas or "new faiths"—we are watching Black spirituality being embraced on a mainstream stage as a practical, grounded tool for deep self-awareness.

What I love most about her deck is that every single card prompts a question for self-evaluation. It’s not just about pulling a card; it’s about doing the internal work and asking yourself the truth...and they layered that in gently within the storytelling.

So proud of this moment, this legacy, and the conversations this is going to start. 🤎✨

This Juneteenth I pulled cards across four all-Black decks for a collective reading, and the message that came through is one I needed to hear too. Come back to your community. Make room for your grief and your joy at the same time. Put your protections up and put down what was never yours to carry. Trust the initiation you are in. And show up every single day as who you are becoming.

We’ve been told this is just how it is. Work until you’re exhausted. Choose between passion and rest. Accept that you’ll never have enough time.

That’s a lie.

There are systems that support life instead of extracting from it. Systems where everyone has enough. Where rest is sacred. Where you have time for what matters. Where creativity and community aren’t luxuries.

That world is possible. We know it’s possible because we can imagine it. Because we’re already practicing pieces of it.

The Dreaming Table is a day to practice what that world feels like. To sit with people who are ready to dream it into being. To remember that imagination is a survival technology.
