Style after 50 – from budget to luxury. I'm not here to tell you what to wear. I'm here to help you discover what feels like you.

When did getting dressed stop being fun? And was it ever fun for you?

That's the question we launched this page with on Monday. On Wednesday, we looked at what draws us to a particular look or vibe. Is it the color? The proportions? The shape of the clothes? Or is it the attitude?

Today, we're going one step further: once you recognize what it is that you're connecting to in a look or a vibe, how might you interpret it within your own budget?

Here we go. One idea. Three budgets.

We begin with the runway inspiration from The Row, we're looking at interpretations or ways to create this look using Eileen Fisher and Uniqlo. This particular style is simply our example. - it's a way to practice seeing how one idea can translate, rather than a suggestion that anyone should dress this way. And we love this vibe.

Materials, construction, and feel will differ. But price alone doesn't tell the whole story about quality – and your budget doesn't determine your ability to develop and express your own point of view.

Your choices may reflect your priorities around materials, sustainability, animal, welfare, and buying secondhand – as ours do.

SWIPE through and look for the connection between these three looks. What carries the idea from one to the next? And is there something in your own closet that could express what you're drawn to?

When you get a chance, take an inspiration look that you're drawn to and ask yourself the questions from Wednesday, look at what we've done to carry the thread of the inspiration look through each interpretation, and see if there's any way you can pull something together out of your closet that might feel a little bit fresh or new to you.

If you need help with this or don't understand how to do this DM us. We’re happy to help!

When a look or a vibe that someone wears catches your eye, what are you actually responding to?

Is it the whole look – or maybe it's the color combination?

Maybe it's the proportions? Maybe it's the accessories - sunglasses and handbag?

Do you think that part of this look could work with pieces you already own?

Could you translate the feeling of this look in a way that makes sense for your body, your budget, how you want to express yourself, or the way you actually live?

And if none of this look is you or belongs in your closet, can you still appreciate it as a beautiful idea?

So, when you look at this outfit: Would you wear it, would you take pieces of it and incorporated into a look – or do you simply admire it?

Leave comments below and tell me what you think

Maybe you don't dislike your clothes.

Maybe you've changed – and your closet hasn't caught up.

Your body may have changed. Your work may have changed. Your life, your priorities, where you live or how you spend your days may be completely different.

Maybe you still love fashion, but what you admire doesn't make sense for your real life. Or maybe you've never been quite sure how to turn what you like into something that feels like you.

This doesn't mean you've lost your style. It may mean you haven't discovered the style of person you are now.

That's what we are going to explore here.

When did getting dressed stop being fun for you? Was it ever fun?

Tell me in the comments.
