The phone call I got from my family this morning broke me. Only 26 years old. If you know me in real life, you know my cousin Karim was like my brother. Always was bragging to my friends about my cousin who lived in Miami, he made sure we had a great time whenever we were all together and was truly the life of the party. I’m asking God to wake me & my family up from this nightmare because there’s no way this is right.. Life won’t ever be the same without you. Hug your family close, reach out to loved ones and randomly tell them you love them because tomorrow is NEVER promised.

Save me a spot up there King Karim. I love you forever. Maybe God had me write this quote down yesterday for a reason, it said “memories exist outside of time” and i’m so glad we had so many beautiful memories. Honored to have had your good energy and your sweet soul in my life. Love you forever and I’ll make sure everyone knows your name! Asking you all to keep my family in your prayers because we are hurting. I love you.

Black girl excellence - Two months ago I got to watch my twin sister accomplish one of our ancestors WILDEST dreams! Both of our parents are lawyers and growing up we always saw how stressful the job could be.

After a few years living and working in DC Sav decided it was a career she was interested in pursuing, not having a clue which schools she’d get into. In school, she was always a straight A & honors student, so I already knew how it was going to go lol! She ended up getting accepted into every program she applied to and even was offered a full ride (plus some) to some of the top law programs in the country.

Her heart just couldn’t resist Harvard. She made it all look so easy! She is someone I will always admire, be inspired by and in a strange way (since I’m the older twin),look up to. She handles everything with such class, grace and if she does something she always gives it her all. This week is a big week for my sister, let’s all send her the best vibes.. see u in NY soon sissy. I am honored to have a front row seat to watching you accomplish everything you said you would!
