Buttercup: TBC style 💚🥊🎸

always felt like i understood her a little too well. And suprisingly, when I asked people which powerpuff girl aI am, they said Bubbles WITHOUT HESITATION 🤣, which I agree with now…
But to me buttercup is protective, a little rough around the edges, not really into the “girly” box people try to put her in… or at least thinking she wasn’t. And that’s…..so real tbh. I can relate.

Growing up, i felt a lot more like buttercup, it’s weird how you can be both. tough and still care hard.

You just gave your heart to someone who didn’t know how to hold it.

You don’t have to keep bleeding just to keep someone in your life. Sometimes all you can do is let go and let God. But someone or something that is meant for you doesn’t keep hurting you. And someone’s inadequacy to love and chose you fully doesn’t make you any less worthy of love.

This piece is called “I DaRe YoU…” 🫵🏾

Inspired by Noodle and 2-d from Gorillaz, this piece was born during a time I almost gave up on it. Finishing it wasn’t easy, but it reminded me that pushing through discomfort is part of becoming.
This is a tribute to authenticity. To raw talent. To being fearless even when you’re scared. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to be angry, to express it in ways that heal rather than harm. That it’s okay to grow, shift, and evolve—even if that means shedding versions of yourself others were more comfortable with.
I’m no longer dimming my light to make others squint less. I’m not here to be everything for everybody—I’m here to be me, fully. And that’s enough.

Welcome My New Baby.
This artwork is called: It’s My Anxiety…

Transparency Time:
I want to share some of the challenges I’ve been facing—and overcoming. It wouldn’t be TheeBandaidCrew if I wasn’t honest.

Over the past few years, I’ve struggled deeply with self-image. Stress, poor mental health, and life changes led me to gain weight—the most I’ve ever weighed. I’ve been unlearning the idea that my worth is tied to an aesthetic. I’ve started embracing healthier habits: less substances, more movement, nourishing food. But the real work has been internal.

I never grew up seeing femininity portrayed softly. I was taught strength, independence, survival (shoutout to Jamila). But softness? Femininity? Those felt out of reach. I was told I was intimidating. Masculine. And I didn’t realize how much that hurt until recently.

So I made a decision: I needed to redefine what femininity, sexiness, and attractiveness means to me. I’m deciding that sexy is a mindset, not an aesthetic. I don’t have to look aesthetically pleasing to feel sexy or attractive. I’m deciding that sexiness is pure authenticity and vulnerability.

In the middle of a breakdown, I picked up my iPad and poured my anxiety into this drawing.

This piece is the simplest yet most impactful piece I’ve done to date. This piece reminds me that even though my emotions may consume me sometimes, my strength and faith will always carry me through. I will ALWAYS carry myself through. There’s an invigorating fire I forgot about that is Camille, including my scars and flaws both externally and internally. And that is sexy in itself.

This piece is for every woman who feels she doesn’t fit the mold. You never know who you inspire by being yourself loudly. Fuck anyone who makes you feel otherwise.
