A family of Tawny Frogmouths often spends the day dozing in our elm tree. Sometimes they choose the magnolia tree, and once they even just perched on the fence for the day! They start stirring just before dark, stretching their wings, turning their heads from side to side and making little growling noises. Then they’re off hunting!
