At the ECO Foundation we teach our Young B.U.L.s the Power of Words since words can make or break any situation.

It’s important we go out into the world conscious of the power we hold in just our words, so make sure you share some uplifting and encouraging words with someone today!

Last month our team lead “KRS FUN” (Knowledge Retention Strategies For Unlocking Ntelligence) an interactive edutainment training, with the City Year Student Success Coaches ⭐️

There’s more content to come from this event so stay tuned this week! 📺

The ECO Center in West Philly has been the heartbeat of our community igniting and inspiring Our People and providing a space to eat, earn, learn, laugh, and play.

Over the past year, we’ve: ✨ Connected 1,000+ learners (from kindergarten to corporate!) to #Edutainment programming

🍎 Fed hundreds of families

💰 Employed 83 young people, setting them up for success

🎤 Hosted over 30 arts and culture experiences for ol heads AND Young BULs

💡 Sponsored two incredible organizations, The PLUG 501c3 & The Philadelphia Reparations Task Force, helping secure over $180,000 in funding

We did all this with $104,000 less than last year due to shifting funding priorities. With 2025 funding uncertain, we need YOU to help us keep the momentum going!

🎯 Your challenge: Support us this Giving Tuesday by donating and sharing this video with someone who can make a difference.

Drop a 👑 in the comments if you’re with us—because if everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot.

Let’s keep building brighter futures.

What is The ECO Center?

The ECO Center located at 5411 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19139. Is home to the ECO Foundation and a safe place for those living in our West Philadelphia community

We utilize The ECO Center to provide food, essential resources, jobs, technology, and a safe place to learn, laugh, and grow. This West Philly beauty has 4 apartments (3 are currently occupied by young adults participating in our workforce housing program), and 2 commercial units.

The Center houses a number of programs such as our Young Bold Unstoppable Leader program. Were youth in the area are able to safely learn and help support their community

The Center is available to rent and host events that the those in our community wish to create

Most importantly The ECO Center is our beloved family and neighbors that contribute to the overall success of improving our community one day at a time through service. Looking to make a difference to help, love, and support those we impact. taken in The ECO Foundation by @theecofoundation

DON’T EAT THE STUDENTS 🎓📚

@drkyletheconductor and his team @theecofoundation @vizionarycustoms @calm_odyssey are doing work that I truly believe is needed in schools across the country. This was at @masteryhighschool in Camden, New Jersey.

We put so much emphasis on producing the next doctors, lawyers and professionals that sometimes we overlook the people helping shape them every single day: our teachers.

When we pour into educators, they pour into students. When students feel supported, understood and inspired, that impact reaches families and ultimately the entire community.

Programs like Don’t Eat the Students give educators tools to navigate challenging situations, better connect with students and keep the love of education alive.

This one is personal for me too. When we first started working together, he was Kyle. Now I get to call this brother Dr. Kyle. Watching his elevation and the growth of his team has been powerful.
Honored to work alongside you, brother. Keep pushing. Keep educating. Keep elevating. The work matters. 💯

@TheECOFoundation opened our community space #TheECOcenter 6 years ago today!

We have provided over a quarter million pounds of food to thousands of people with the help of hundreds of young people that were paid via the Young BUL (Bold Unstoppable Leaders) Program.

We have housed 21 young adults, and successfully transitioned 18 of them to independent living in stable housing.

Unfortunately, our 5 year mortgage is up this November, and we’re not in the financial position to keep our doors open. We no longer have the business credit score, previous year’s financials, or the guarantors we need to renew our mortgage. Like many nonprofits we have felt the impact of the changing political landscape and the shift of priorities from our funders.

We WILL be continuing our commUnity programming working with other West/Southwest Philly spaces, but will have to sell our building. A lot has changed over the years but our commitment to serving Our People has not.

We still believe in the power of the people, and know there’s no nation like a donation. If you would like to help us as we transition please make a contribution by visiting SupportECO.org, or one of the platforms below.

Young B.U.L. is back.

Our next cohort begins Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and we’re looking for young people who are ready to show up as Young, Bold, Unstoppable Leaders.

Young B.U.L. is a space for young people to laugh, learn, serve, grow, and discover more of who they are and who they have the power to become.

We believe leadership starts with how you show up: for yourself, your family, your community, and the people around you. Through new experiences, community service, mentorship, connection, and a whole lot of fun, we challenge our young people to step into their power and use it to transform the world around them.

We’re looking for young people who are committed to service, learning, and growth, who are willing to try new things, build community, and prioritize joy along the way.

Because being a Young B.U.L. means choosing to be your best self and inspiring others to do the same.

Young. Bold. Unstoppable.

Applications for our Fall 2026 cohort are now open. Apply today and come grow with us.

From campfires to conversations, hikes to late-night laughs, this year’s Young BUL Camping Trip was about more than getting away. It was about building community, creating memories, and giving our young people the space to grow, lead, and simply be.

Every challenge became a lesson. Every moment became a memory. Every connection made us stronger.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible, with a special shoutout to @tizismokes @rebeka_sofeisty for your generous contribution and love for our youth. Your presence helped make this weekend one to remember.

And to every young person who showed up with open hearts, curiosity, and positive energy thank you for making this camp so special. The future is bright because of you.

Until next time. 🌲🏕️🖤

Today, our Young BULs picked up the paintbrushes and explored what trust and confidence look like through art. 🎨

Every color, every stroke, and every conversation became a chance to express themselves, trust their instincts, and encourage one another. Building confidence isn’t just about speaking louder it’s about believing in your vision, taking creative risks, and knowing your voice matters.

We’re proud to create spaces where Black youth can learn, create, and grow together one masterpiece at a time.
