Gm❤️s, Owning a tuxedo/ formal wear, dinner jacket, cocktail dress etc is a must living in WDC! With so many cocktail/dinner parties & galas throughout the year, it’s best to stay ready. On any given day or evening you don’t know where you will be. Yes #cbc is every September here in our nations capital, as we all know the dinner is formal attire. Because I was feeling quite lovely all day I didn’t want to wear an all black tux to the dinner this year. So I decided to wear for the 1st time this amazing #ralphlaurenpurplelabel white silk robe I purchased a couple years ago with my tuxedo pants. Literally Praying the entire night I bring it back home safely without a spot or blemish. Thank God she came home safe & sound! I’m grateful for so many things I couldn’t put into words. 1 thing I’m most grateful for is having the mindset to celebrate life each & every day I’m alive. knowing I have more days behind me than ahead of me. It’s a blessing to be loved unconditionally & to also spread ❤️ unconditionally. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having favorites! We all have them. Whether you want to agree with me or not, some people are easier to love than others. Yes I said it 😂 Life has taught me many years ago to be kind & considerate to everyone i come in contact with, And even more importantly to treat my village like Royalty! It’s not everyday you come across solid people. I remember hosting a small cocktail party at my home many years ago. The young gentleman assisting me asked me did I have a particular group of people that were attending to serve champagne to. My reply to him was everyone attending will drink up until it’s gone. And if you have ever had the pleasure attending, I’m sure you can attest we never runout of Champagne. In most cases we are asked to stop pouring before we stop serving. God knows my heart & sipping cold champagne with the people I ❤️ is my ❤️ language! I’m gifted with so much champagne throughout the yr from my village that my cup runneth over I’m always able to share. A true blessing! I will always give my people special treatment! I’m grateful as the song says to share life’s journey with such amazing people. Be kind& courteous to all . Never stop loving, Never stop giving! Listening to My new favorite song I can’t get enough of….. #hustle as I share with you 2 amazing Brunches I attended in 1 day during #cbc2026 #cbc . when traveling, I pick up all kinds of goodies. There are so many people I admire for so many reasons. I appreciate individuals who are passionate about their craft and have no desire to be anyone but themselves. When I think about my life, I see myself as an artist who has developed a passion for beautiful people and beautiful things! Enjoying this precious gift of style and creativity is a true blessing from God! Sharing this masterpiece to the world on a daily basis leaves room for critique. Like antiques, champagne and caviar it’s an acquired taste not required! I learned early on Everything is not for everybody! In most cases it wasn’t designed for you to like. Did I ever tell you guys as a kid on Thanksgiving day before we had family dinner, I was made to volunteer at the Shelter along with my grandma Perkins to feed the homeless with a smile. Also every Christmas morning after unwrapping my toys, half of them will go to the family shelter and I would hand deliver them with a smile. As much as I loved my grandmother, I thought I was being punished. When I would ask why, the answer was always the same. We are blessed to be a blessing to others that are less fortunate. When you walk in this building smile and be kind. You never know which way life will turn. If I did not follow those directions I would get popped across the lips 😂😂😂 seriously smacked ! That’s what grandma Perkins Would reply. My dad who was a very generous man who ran the streets most of time would keep it short & sweet. Son sharing is caring! Now as an adult I totally get it & im passing this on to you the short version sharing is caring! When you give it comes back to you 100 fold! taken in Washington D. C. by @theedarnell

GM❤️s, time is moving faster than normal seemingly. I Celebrated a birthday in June now 3 months ago, the 4th of July a couple months ago. now Labor Day this past weekend. What a blessing to be in the land of the living & enjoying every second of the day! Talk about more days behind than ahead, I make it a practice to enjoy my remaining years on earth everyday I wake up. When asked I shout it to the mountain top I’m going out with a bang with pretty shoes on! 😂😂😂 I take nothing for granted. Understanding I’m nothing without God and with God I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me! I choose to live a happy fulfilled life. Sharing this great journey with some incredible people my tribe! I had the pleasure hosting Sunday dinner at the house for a few family and friends which was lovely. I enjoy entertaining people I ❤️! That’s my way of saying thank you for putting up with me. My plans for yesterday was to stay home, relax ,watch old movies & eat leftovers. Well After going outside to take the trash out, the weather was so lovely my plans instantly changed. I packed the car with some goodies & took a lovely drive through the countryside to my cottage on the Chesapeake Bay less than a hour away. Totally relaxed sitting on my porch in a rocking chair sipping champagne watching the ships go by was exactly what I needed to end my holiday wknd. Nothing selfish about making yourself a priority! I/We deserve everything God is giving and what is coming.
