Honestly, they’re the modern day payday loans. And I know some of y’all like to tussle bout y’all buy now pay later apps, but hear me out, DeeVAS!

I love a good shopping haul just like the next woman, and I’m not saying these services are bad. But I do think they’ve made it WAY too easy for us to spend money without really thinking about how much we’re spending.

Because $25 here, $40 there, and four easy payments don’t sound like much… until you have 6 different payment plans coming out of your account at the same time!

And here’s where my Realtor hat comes in…

If you’re planning to purchase a home, those little payments can become a BIG deal. Even when they don’t show up on your traditional credit report, lenders may still identify those obligations when reviewing your finances.

And sis… I would hate for a few shopping carts to stand between you and your house keys!

I’m not telling you to stop shopping. I’m telling you to shop with intention.

Because building the life you truly want sometimes means telling yourself NO to something you want right now so you can say YES to something bigger later.

And for the record, Afterpay and Klarna aren’t literally payday loans. But I believe the convenience can create a similar cycle of borrowing against money you haven’t received yet.

DeeVAS, let’s talk! Have Afterpay and Klarna helped you manage your purchases, or have those little payments ever gotten out of hand? by @theedeereed

So, Tag a friend 👇🏾 who needs to hear this today and let’s get this week STARTED. ❤️ yall, mean it. by @theedeereed

This is why I do what I do, y’all. There is nothing like watching a woman get her keys. Nothing.

If you’ve been on the fence, let this be your sign. Your keys are closer than you think and I would love to help you get there.
