Red October 🔥

For the past 3 years I've been trying to get over to the west coast to fish with @capt.robbylacey on Red October, but setbacks with hurricanes never permitted. The Reds were definitely ready for me this year, however I wasn't. 😆 I ended up getting absolutely owned by two overslots on a falling high tide straight into the Mangroves, back to back casts broke off, pulled the hook on a 3rd, and a 4th, a Jack Crevalle out of nowhere took the lure out of the Redfish's mouth. Managed to land 2 (slots) on 6 attempts.

Always a great time and experience out in Southwest Florida with Captain Robby on the lead, snatching piles of Sea Trout, Jacks, Snook, and Ladyfish. See you soon. 🫡 by @theedoubler

@theedoubler is always on the hunt for topwater action…today he got it! 36 inch snook on his 3rd cast, fun sized tarpon about 15 minutes later, then finished off with a beach Bonita topwater frenzy! Awesome day with Dr Diawa💥

A quick little recap, and that's a wrap for 2024. ✌️ 🍾

I want to take the time and give thanks for efforts put forth by @capt.robbylacey pushing me through the backcountry numerous times this year. Even my bro @da_prout made the road trip and got out for the experience. It's always a blast out there, freestyling. I believe we had two called shots this year on Reds, one long-range pocket shot you told me to shoot into and immediately got blown up. The other was me blabbering, and it happened. 🤣 👏 The last trip over was perhaps the most Nat Geo of them all, 🐬 🦈 🦅 🥁. Making memories, and I look forward to 2025, Senor Roberto! 🫡

Lastly, I don't think there is anyone else I've put in the time fishing with then the man, @peacock_bass_adventures
The last 7 seven years we've grinded in rain, cold, extreme heat to perfect weather. The 15th of July called for the challenge and delivered. Negative low, high noon, extreme heat, and a certified river monster on a bullseye freestyle cast 🎯. Conditions I would have never imagined. It's still surreal that the beast was landed, and I couldn't have done it without you! A true testament to pushing the limits of the tackle! 🏆 That Snook will forever go down as my holy grail fish and don't think I'll be able to top it. I really appreciate that you made it possible! 🤘 We've got more in store for 2025!

I wish all my friends and family a healthy and prosperous New Year in 2025 to come. More importantly, getting tight on the Big Bite! 💥 ✌️

Slingin’ artificials with Dr. Diawa @theedoubler today. Heavy winds made it a bit of work but we out several Snook in the boat along with some Jacks and Ladyfish🤙

My man @theedoubler has been coming out with me slinging artificials for many years. He’s caught many cool fish along the way but this big girl today was the coolest! 42 incher on 10lb test and 20lb leader👊
