A dear friend told me today how good it is to see me genuinely happy. They might even tell you they are my fav person but that is debatable 🤣 I love comments like this because they recognize the storms you endured. Last year this time when I finally started talking about some of the things I was going through, I had people telling me “you carry it so well, I didn’t notice.”

When I wanted to identify as this strong woman I used to like those comments, they meant something. It meant I was doing my job at hiding myself from the world.

Now through the immense amount of healing I have done, strong is not an identity I want to subscribe to. I am strong, yes, but I do not carry it well.

Anyway, I digress. This is a happy post after all and I am ohhhhh so grateful to be in a better place than I was around this time last year. The things I am most proud of? learning how to have fun, learning to let more happiness in, learning to be joyful, letting myself be excited even if things do not go the way I hope, and last but not least believing in myself.

Believing in myself landed me here in Vancouver to be a part of a skincare trial with a company I have admired for a while.

idk where life is leading me exactly. I just want to make sure I try to take life less serious and leave with minimal regrets.
