Elder Press Cafe.

Back before the pandemic, we liked to spend Sunday down at the boot-sale hunting for records & cool tut. Afterwards we’d cruise through the farmers market on our way down to the river & walk all along the shore skimming stones, watching for treasure left behind by the tide.

We’d head towards Hammersmith, watching the action on the water, imagining how nice it would be to have a studio like Durham Wharf, making paintings like Julian Trevelyan & Mary Fedden.

On the way to the playground, we'd grab something good from @theelderpress cafe. Pretty nice way to spend a day.

So, we were totally delighted when we recently found out they choose Fill Hand Soap Fig Leaf for their beautiful bathroom.

A moment, please, for our new savoury Danish: flaky, buttery croissant dough topped with whole grain mustard béchamel, Parma ham and tonnes of Parmesan. Absolutely delectable! 🥐🤤

Everything is made in-house at our Hammersmith bakery cafe, with oodles of love and care. Come grab one! 🥰

🚨 Cake alert! 🚨 The Danish Queen of Cake, @trinehahnemann, is joining us at @elderpresscafe this Friday to celebrate her book launch and share the beloved tradition of the Danish Cake Table. And yes, it’s every bit as wonderful as it sounds! 🍰

The Cake Table is all about bringing people together: creating memories, building friendships, and, of course, enjoying cake in all its glory.

Super duper special alert! Seriously! We’ve been salivating over this beauty all week, and we’re all very happy it’s on for another week. 🥳

As usual, head chef Ali has blown our minds and tastebuds!

Tender lamb marinated in walnut, pomegranate molasses and aromatic herbs, a gorgeous fresh minty salad with zangy pink pickled onions, all sat atop a DELICIOUS smoked aubergine labneh and dusted with sumac. My mouth is watering writing these words.

Take the fluffy soft flatbread and use it to mop up all the leftover juices. Ooooof! It’s a dream! 🥹

As always, everything is made from scratch in our tiny Hammersmith kitchen. Come and grab it while you can.

The specials this week are really something! Chef Ali has blown our minds and tastebuds even more than usual - catch them while you can. 😍

🍃Squash and ricotta Gnudi with sage butter and toasted pumpkin seeds. Ultimate luxury!

🍅 Heirloom tomato salad, with Maldon sea salt, micro basil and bourgoin verjus dressing - sweet juicy deliciousness, and the dressing - ooosh! 😚👌

🇬🇷 Greek style chicken salad with mixed leaves, heritage tomatoes, cucumber, leccino olives, feta, pickled red onion, pomegranate seeds and a lemon mustard dressing.

Our little bakery just got an upgrade! We are OVER THE MOON to announce the arrival of our laminator! This means hand made in house FRESHLY baked croissants and flaky pastries galore.
