Been sitting on the lanai enjoying the evening. Went into Apple Music to play my normal Friday playlist til the Eagles preseason game came on when I saw the new Jayhawks record that was released today.

I’m always skeptical of new releases from older artists trying to resurrect but wow, just wow… 40 years of the Jayhawks and what a brilliant album. I’ve listened to it twice and there will be many more listens.

I highly suggest you take a listen for yourself. It’s everything you expect and more. Kudos! by @theelildeb

Shi and I did real well keeping the secret and it was quite the happy surprise for our special gal! . I popped into Nashville for Ruby James record release party tomorrow night at The 5 Spot. Cant wait to stir up some fun and so excited for a weekend with my ladies! Come join us !

Oh my gosh rain… I forgot what it looked like. Of course 15 minutes away at the house nothing, nada…

Just had the most fabulous lunch at Salt Cracker on the pier in Clearwater Beach. My filet kebabs with onions and red and yellow pepper with a wedge salad was healthy and delicious. A gully washer with crazy hurricane type winds blew through and is starting to clear just in time for our boat trip in 30 minutes. Good news it temporarily dropped to 79 from 100 and it feels so good out here right now.

Well it’s almost pool time…

After doing some research I was able to repurpose Earnies training playpen into a brooder. Once we got the 2 more hens the cage became to small and they aren’t ready for their coop yet…

I was gonna keep it as a pop up playpen for the beach but Earnie is too big so voila… Super proud of my Sunday work and they love it!

Much more room to roam an additional roost, can separate the food and water, and easy to clean. They’ve got it all figured out and are having a blast.

I layered the bottom with a contractor trash bag to fit, doggie pee pads and pine shavings. It’s super easy to unzip the top for food and water and the cage fit perfectly inside and is easy to close for sleeping at night.

I might become a chicken tender yet😂🤣 As Zane is chickens and I’m doglets by @theelildeb

We added to the flock today. Currently accepting names for these two Polish Silver Laced gals who when grown will look like the second picture with feathered hats…
PS- I used a photo from the actual hatchery they originally came from for reference, so excited always wanted a Polish or a Silkie… by @theelildeb
