a Chicago band in a van.

the craziest thing we’ve ever done? recording at Abbey Road Studio 2. two days in that room changed us. changed the way we played, yes, but also altered our brain chemistry.

we spent the end of our ‘25 European tour in London and made the best record of our lives over a few days, at the best studio in the world.

this week, you all get to hear what we made.

Dear Billionaires, out Friday. Recorded at Abbey Road.

we will probably never get over it.

Not only is our new album, Dear Billionaires, the best music we've ever made. The videos are by far the best we've ever put out. Thanks to @eyecanbomb for adventuring with the band across the ocean last fall and capturing such great footage. The latest, "Queen of LA" is live on our YouTube along with a ton of great ones.

New video. Live performance. Murder Ballad. Dublin, Ireland.

Really cool video out tomorrow, perfect for Halloween. "Queen of LA" live in Dublin at the @cobblestonebackroom, a bar that's been serving since the late 1600's!

This was a really special show, ending our epic tour last fall through England, the Netherlands, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland.

"Queen of LA" is a true murder ballad, and we update the traditional genre with our own style.

It's a true and crazy story where a lady named Dolly hides a young lover in her attic.
Things go badly eventually, of course, and you'll have to listen to find out what happens.

Watch the video live with the band in the chat tomorrow, Friday, October 30th, at 1pm Central Time.

what did it feel like last night in Chicago? community. joy. healing.

we were saturated by loving vibes. we took chances on stage. we pushed the envelope. we spoke to caring about one another and against the indulgences of the ultra-wealthy.

we’ve been finding so much meaning in every word we sing, and it’s no wonder you all feel it too.

thank you to everyone who came to hear us at Garcia's Chicago, in Buffalo and in Cleveland. you lifted us up, and we’re taking flight.

still in the Chicago area? we’re popping up in Evanston tomorrow for an acoustic set at Squeezebox Books & Music. 6:30pm. see you there!

the new album is out and your reaction has been amazing. the messages, posts, shares - all of it - this special collection of songs is resonating in a big way. thank you to every record store and radio station. thank you to Abbey Road for being holy, inspiring, otherworldy. thank you to every fan in the audience at our shows, on the air, and online.

we are riding high and it's all because of you.

tonight we'll bring the album home to our Chicago family live at Garcia's Chicago. the venue released a few seats yesterday, plus standing room only. it's going to be a fun night... ✨ by @theemptypockets

We are at @garcias_chicago on Tuesday! There are a few seats left, plus $20 GA tickets!
Thanks @wgnnews for helping to spread the word!

Stopped by @hifihits in Buffalo before our show today to sign their stock of CDs and vinyl records. Head in to grab your copy in person, autographed by the full band. Awesome spot with an excellent selection and fantastic vibe. #buffalo #newmusic #albumrelease by @theemptypockets

not all radio is the same. what an HONOR to be included in “The Midnight Special” on WFMT 98.7FM - Chicago’s longest running radio program.

host Marilyn Rea Beyer curates such a thoughtful playlist that takes the listener on a journey. hearing “I Never Get Sick Of You” nestled in after Nancy Griffith and John Prine? sublime.

we are very grateful to our radio champions.
thank you, Marilyn, for hearing something special in our songs. by @theemptypockets
